The hotel was below my expectations, even knowing beforehand that it was a budget hotel. The photos advertised online don’t really match the reality. The entrance is very inconvenient. There are two flights of stairs just to reach reception, and the elevator wasn’t working. This meant carrying all our luggage upstairs to check in, only to take it back downstairs again to reach the room. The building seems to have been industrial in the past, which gives it a slightly strange feel. The hotel was also very noisy. We could hear every step from the rooms above us. The shower temperature was extremely unstable, changing from very hot to cold within seconds. The air conditioning wasn’t working at all, not even the fan. Opening the window wasn’t much of an option either, as it faces an industrial area and the noise outside is quite loud. I’ve stayed at dozens of Ibis Budget hotels, including several recently, and unfortunately this was the worst one so far. That said, for just one night, it was manageable.

What a great 2 night stay for my wife and I. Quiet, central location, helpful staff and the restaurant a great spot too for traditional cuisine. Breakfast was more than adequate and overall we would easily stay here again. Parking is conveniently located nearby.Daniel was particularly helpful at check in. Al

The staff was very welcoming and the hotel could not have been better located. We walked the square and up to the fortress in mere minutes. Plenty of dining options close by and on site parking were a bonus.
