Share meals around the large Pottery Barn dining table with seating for 12+ overlooking beautiful Sterling Forest.

    Sterling Forest trails are just a short walk or ride down Maple Run Lane, making outdoor adventure easily accessible year-round.

    The home is professionally cleaned between every stay by Stowe Housekeeping, and all linens are professionally laundered by Stowe Laundry Center.

Great place for a group of friends or family in a quiet area that’s nevertheless close to all the great things Stowe has to offer. The host Ross was super quick to respond to messages and a great communicator. The house was clean and comfortable, the hot tub was excellent and we really enjoyed our stay.

Annual ski trip

We booked the property for 4 families, and there was plenty of space! Everyone had a wonderful time, and the location is really close to the town of Stowe. The owners were very responsive with questions and requests, the property clean and beds comfy.

Wonderful Stay

We had one of our best stays ever. The home was very large and could easily accommodate multiple families. The house was extremely clean and had everything you could need for a cozy visit - kitchen staples, games, linens - everything! We had a great time skiing and enjoying the town of Stowe. Highly recommend.

Annual Ski Trip

Stayed at the Chalet for our annual Vermont Ski trip this year. The place was perfect. Lot's of room to spread out and plenty of beds for a houseful of guys. Location is amazing....tucked away in the woods with plenty of privacy, but minutes from all the action in and around Stowe. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful stay

We had the best time at Ross’s place. It’s about a 10 minute drive from the main town, and the house is beautiful. We made good use of the fire pit. I stayed with my family and there was plenty of space for everyone. It was also super clean. I highly recommend Ross’s place, we’ll definitely stay again next time we’re in Stowe.

Lovely Home, Wonderful Ski Vacation for large group

The home was lovely, communication with the owners was excellent, and the location was perfect for a long ski vacation with a large family group of 10. Plenty of bedrooms, lots of space to congregate but also spread out and find some quiet when needed. Super easy check in / check out. House was well equipped with everything we needed. We certainly hope to be back and appreciate you sharing your lovely home with us!

Ross and Kelsey were incredibly helpful and so kind from time of booking the trip until after check out. Any question I had they were immensely responsive and gave great guidance. I went for my 30th birthday and they were nothing short of accommodating. The home itself was BEAUTIFUL. Everything was stocked, clean and worked efficiently. 100% would recommend. It was only 10 min from town. Thank you Ross and Kelsey for making a memorable birthday!

Our stay was great. The place epitomizes Stowe ski house charm. The host was extremely responsive and helped us with many requests. Beautiful area with hiking trails and amazing views close by. We got autumn in high bloom which is indescribable. We’ll be back for sure. Thank you!

Amazing, spacious yet cozy stay

The host was super clear and precise with check in and check out procedures that left no need for constant questions. The home was very clean and in a quiet area! My friends and I loved the large entry way which made it easy for us to hang up and dry off our ski gear. This place is top of my list for where to go with a group in Stowe!The roads were also good with reliable snow clearing. It snowed a few inches over the two nights I was there and the road was plowed before I woke up to head to the slopes!

Perfect for Large Groups!

We had a wonderful time at the property. Ross was incredibly responsive when we had questions and the place was great. Perfect for a big group, we had 8 adults and 4 kids, we all had enough space to spread out. Especially enough room, where kids could go to bed and not be disturbed while the adults stayed up. It is secluded and lovely. In winter, 4WD is helpful, with snow and the dirt road. We would love to stay there again next year.

We loved our stay at this property! We were celebrating my husband’s 40th birthday, and his siblings and cousin joined us for the trip—everyone was comfortable and had a great time. One of the highlights was the birthday dinner we had at the large table in the outdoor room—it felt so special.We also really enjoyed the firepit and hot tub, and there were lots of thoughtful touches for families, including great toys for young kids. Our 1.5-year-old especially loved the play kitchen!The location was beautiful and convenient for hiking and visiting the Alchemist brewery, and the drive in was stunning. Ross and Kelsey were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout.Everyone agreed—we’d happily come back!

Great for friends and family!

Ross was an excellent host. From the beginning he made communication very easy. We went with both friends and family including a 1 and 2 year old. There were toys for the kids, games for the adults. A binder with useful ingormaiton anf suggestions. A nice layout and llent of bedrooms for large groups. 15 min ride to Stowe Mountain and an 8 min ride to town center. Geeat location, I highly reccemend it!

Wonderful spot for a ski trip!

This was a great home base for our large group to stay during our ski trip to Stowe! Communication with the property owner was prompt and easy (we noticed something wrong with the dishwasher when we checked in and they had it fixed the next day) and the home was spacious and clean. The hot tub was super relaxing, the beds were comfortable, all in all a great experienceOne warning to potential winter guests: the listing recommends a 4WD/AWD car and they were not kidding! We brought a few FWD cars out of sheer hubris, and we were able to get out of the (steep) driveway eventually, but it took a decent amount of elbow grease, shovels, and salt (thankfully provided). Not taking anything off the rating because we were appropriately warned in the listing, but just wanted to highlight this to other guests who have the same "eh I drive in the winter all the time, I'll be fine" mentality that we did. Vermont hits different!

This was a great place from which to explore the area around Stowe. Easy drive to grocery store, multiple swimming holes, and village of Stowe. Four families fit there well. Hosts responded immediately and helpfully when needed.

We had an incredible stay in Stowe while in the area for a hockey tournament in Burlington. The house was ideal for our group—with numerous bedrooms, everyone had plenty of space to relax and recharge between games.The amenities were top-notch. Having the hot tub and the fire pit in the evenings was the best way to wind down after a long day at the rink. On top of that, the hosts were wonderfully responsive and understanding throughout our stay, making everything completely stress-free.We would love to stay here again next time we're in Vermont!
