"We loved our week stay here! The property itself is big, with large rooms, comfortable beds, and a great kitchen with huge island. While the weather was perfect, we also really enjoyed the comfort of central AC throughout the home. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and 2 griddles, as well as other cooking utensils. The back deck is huge and the ceiling fans were just enough to keep bugs mostly away for a bit at night. My kids are 9 and 13, but I loved the attention to safety for younger ones - retractable gates on indoor stairs and latching doors on deck. If you have kids staying on the upstairs loft, be aware that there is no shade on the skylight, so sun comes in early. We walked to the beach almost every day and had it mostly to ourselves all week! Perfect for water-loving kids. The yard and dock were wonderful. Tons of space and lots of canoes, kayaks, and a paddleboard to keep everyone busy. The lake itself is quiet. We enjoyed meeting a mom and dad loon with their little baby, as well as a mama duck with her babies. We had a fire almost every night - bring lots of bug spray! You do have to bring your own towels and washcloths, but the washer and dryer provided were so useful. Would definitely stay again, but next year is already booked! Looking forward to returning sometime soon."

"I’ve stayed at the Summit for 14 yrs prior. Too many restrictions and need a card for everything. Lines of people checking in and Donna by herself on weeks ends. Need more people to Checkin , so Donna can give out cards for tables in pool area. Not an efficient system."

"Thorough charming, atmospheric and memorable. The house looks like the set of Clue, and it's wonderful to imagine yourself in a country estate a century earlier. Breakfast was excellent, staff were lovely, and we had a great time."
