A lovely property
This is a wonderful home with great furnishings and an unsurpassed view of nature. The home was impeccably clean and modern. We would like to return someday. Communication with host was always immediate. Thank you very much.

Beautiful River Views

Hunting Trip
House was nice and kitchen is fully stocked. Would definitely stay here again. Driveway is shared with another house and backing a boat trailer in and out is tricky but doable. The view of the river are incredible.

Great cabin with wonderful views
Rented for family to attend wedding. Cabin was perfect for everyone. Would stay again if need to be in the area. Enjoyed sitting out front watching sunrise and sunset. Very pretty. Cabin very comfortable love the fireplaces. Highly recommend if need to accommodate large number.

Wow, first we could not enter the building because the door code was on the first email which the system would no longer let us access. Mice crap and mice bite marks on underneath couch cushion. Sink sponge was covered in mold. Fireplace remote batteries did not work. Dinning room chair broken. The glued used to fix it previously has failed. Electrical switches and outlets were a guessing game. I would not recommend.

The location was a nice distance out of LaX. The house had a lot of space for all 8 of us and the kitchen was adequate for us as well. It is very close to the train tracks and ALOT of trains go by. Overall this house was nice to stay at.

It was exactly what we were expecting and looking for. The river/barges and trains were a hit! The chalet was totally comfortable and had the outside space we were looking for. We enjoyed a bonfire each night. Close to fun stuff for the kids and adults to do.

Very nice and perfect for our sibling vacay
The outside of the property needed a little tlc. Whatever was falling from the trees created a mess on the driveway and deck, tracked everywhere….. should be cleaned off..

Priscilla, thank you for your response. We provide a broom on the deck for when leaves and particles fall from the trees. Would have taken you 30 seconds to broom it off. This time of year it’s very common for trees to make a bit of a daily ness especially with how dry it’s been. And as far as TLC…that really confuses me as the property is in incredible condition.

Great house for large group
Property has everything you need. Bathrooms and kitchen were stocked well. Makes being there with a large group easy. Plenty of room to spread out. Sunsets over the river are amazing!

Christmas 2022
Celebrating Christmas with family. Lots of room to spread out. Enough room for us all to be together playing board games or watching TV. But also enough room to get an-alone breather once in awhile.

UWL Family Weekend
The families of 2 UWL students got together for family weekend. The location worked great for us and several of the kids friends drove down to eat and play games. We really enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful View!
We had a fairly large group for a week of fishing on the river. While there were not enough bedrooms for each person, the bedrooms and beds were large enough to accommodate all of us. Lots of common room space for everyone. I nice sized kitchen and dining room table made for great meals with everyone hanging out together. Parking 4 boats was a bit tricky but there was enough room for us to make it work. We loved it there and will stay again if we make another trip to the area.

Wonderful view
We loved the house. The bottom floor had crickets that we had to look for and the main floor shower did not work but we would stay here again. All the pelicans, eagles, and other wildlife made it fun. The view was great and we loved all the trains.

Thank you for staying! Our pest control guy has done a great job nearly exterminating all the crickets since buying this a year ago, and the main floor shower does work, you just have to pull on the knob hard to start it.

Excellent River View home
We stayed at this property for 3 nights. The view is spectacular and loved the upstairs deck. The downside is the trains come by frequently and they are pretty loud when sitting outside. You don't hear the trains inside the house though. The property is large enough for big groups. The owners was very responsive to any questions.

Secluded, Riverside Retreat
The house was perfect for a big family vacation. With three sets of spouses and kids aged 3-10, there was plenty of space for us to spread out and come together as the vacation unfolded. There were plenty of places to sit both indoors and outdoors (no need to bring your bag chairs from home). Sunsets over the river were an event worth the rental alone. Our one complaint is the trains; they are loud and frequent. It didn’t bother all our guests, but a few had a tough time sleeping and getting used to it.

Beautiful Mississippi River Vista
We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin on the Mississippi. The house was so spacious and perfect for our family weekend getaway. We just loved sitting on the front porch, watching the birds and taking in the amazing sunset view. The kids enjoyed watching the trains and barges go by, too. :) We hope to come back again! Thanks for a great stay.

Great for families!
We've stayed at several VRBOs and this one was the best stocked one we've stayed at. Other than groceries, my list was very short. Lots of space to spread out and the view is amazing. The booklet was very helpful on where to find things and there was more than enough bedding, blankets and towels which was awesome! There are highly used train tracks on the other side of the road, but wasn't too loud for sleeping. We'll definitely be back!

The A frame was really great for us.
We were four guys who have been meeting up for some ice fishing now for about 25 years. The A frame had plenty of space, amazing river views, it was warm and cozy and the owners were great to work with.
