Hi Susan, Thanks for your feedback! You are correct that the parking is in the side yard not by the front door. It is possible to pull up next to the building on Mill street to load and unload if there isn't a space out front. We don't provide any food and I thought that was clear in the information provided but I will review that to make sure that it is. Everyone has different preferences and dietary needs. The coffee that was there was left by a previous guest, not everyone is comfortable using food items left there on site. Good idea, I will write up instructions on how to use the Roku remotes for those guests that aren't familiar with using them. I'm almost always just a phone call away and I'm happy to help in anyway that I can. Thanks for staying, Pat

Hi Laurie, All the towns along the river have train traffic. Most people don't seem to mind and some people enjoy watching them roll by. We who live here accept them as there is nothing we can do about the trains and being in such an amazing area more than makes up for the inconvenience an occasional train creates.

Hi Catherine, Living in a historic tiny village on the Mississippi comes with trains. We who love it here accept that minor inconvenient because we think it's a pretty amazing place to be. The house was built in 1906 and it retains many of it's original details and some details that have evolved over it's 117 years. Each sleeping area is private and yes 2 of the rooms have drapes instead of doors. I'm glad that you mostly enjoyed your visit. We try hard to make it a great experience for our guest but somethings like trains we have no control over. Pat Pat
