On the approximately 1000qm large hillside plot in the village location our new Finnish log cabin on nearly 75sqm living space 'pure wood' next to its healthy living environment and the wonderful view the following features (also see our video of the house - created by dear guests!): Open living area, 2 rooms: 1 with single bed 90cm, 1 with pull-out bed 2x80cm, cozy sleeping loft with double bed (2x90cm), W-LAN FREE, wooden floorboards, bathroom with toilet, shower and washing machine, kitchen with stove (4 ceramic plates plus oven) , Dishwasher, sink, refrigerator, dining table, satellite TV, radio, large wooden terrace, veranda, barbecue, parking at the house, small supermarket (adeg) with fresh bread rolls a few steps away in the village. Zlan is part of the Nature Park community Stockenboi and is located exactly between the two beautiful Carinthian Lakes Millstätter See and Weissensee. From the small town of Zlan a magnificent view the Drautal offers down at the southernmost mountain of Austria, the Karawanken. Holiday in Carinthia: Almromantik in summer, lush pastures and stunning mountain valleys, family skiing in the winter - and to the south, sunny climate in which you can let your soul again. From the covered terrace the view goes into the Drautal and the Weissensee Nature Park to the majestic Karawanken in the south. Weissensee and Millstätter See are in about 15 minutes to reach by car. This quiet eastern shore of Lake Weissensee entices with a beautiful swimming area, boat rides, walks or just a lazy day at the beach. In winter, the Weissensee transforms into one of the largest natural ice rinks in Europe; a paradise for skaters and walkers. On Millstatt invite various resorts like Seeboden, Millstatt and Döbriach for a stay or a stroll. In the Nature Park Weissensee with our local mountain Goldeck and its grand panoramic alpine road directly from Zlan out there are numerous opportunities for hiking; from relaxed family outing to the mountain climbing. About one kilometer further down the Stockenboier road, just before the Zlaner reservoir, lies the cozy Gasthaus Fischerhof, with a summer terrace and generous portions ranging from schnitzel to pizza. Also just a few steps from our cabin are it up to a small panoramic hill in the middle between the Zlaner districts where you will find a children's playground with football field. Das Haus war sauber und hat alles gehabt was man braucht für einen schönen, erholsamen Urlaub. Mein Sohn liebte die Dusche mit den Massagefunktionen. Einen Tipp noch. Wer beim Schlafen lichtempfindlich ist, sollte sich eine Schlaf-Augenmaske besorgen. Preis-Leistung ist wirklich super. Ganz kleine Abstriche gibt es für die Lage. Man muss sich halt bewusst sein, dass man in einem klitzekleine Dörfchen wohnt und fast alles mit dem Auto erledigen muss. Das haben wir aber bewusst in Kauf genommen. Darüber hinaus ist das Haus schon sehr hellhörig, aber auch damit kann man sich arrangieren. Insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. ##### Jerome R. Die Leiter ist etwas steil,aber mit etwas Übung hat man schnell den Dreh raus,wie man am besten hoch und wieder runter kommt. Die Lage ist perfekt,sämtliche Ausflugsziele in der Nähe und fussläufig sogar ein Lebensmittelladen. Wir waren zu fünft und können diese Unterkunft wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Dieses war jedoch nicht möglich,da werktags eine Bauramme in unmittslbarer Nähe von 7.00Uhr bid 17.30 Uhr dauerhaft im Einsatz war.Obwohl die Anrainer vorab informiert worden,war der Vermieter zu keinerlei Mietnachlass bereit. Mikrowelle wäre noch ganz schön. Ruhige Umgebung, schöne Aussicht. Supermarkt direkt ums Eck. Ein gut sortierter kleiner Supermarkt ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Leider hat das einzige Restaurant am Ort geschlossen, so dass ein Abendessen außer Haus ohne mit dem Auto zu fahren, nicht möglich war. Als Ausgangspunkt für mehrere Ausflüge ist das Haus gut geeignet. Wer allerdings gut ausgeschilderte Wander- oder Radwege sucht, sollte es in touristisch erschlosseneren Gebieten versuchen. Wir wurden auf den Wegen entweder von uns wütend anbellenden Hofhunden attackiert oder aber Weiden wurden so eingezäunt, dass der Wanderweg abgesperrt war, und zugleich war ein Schild mit Warnung vor den Tieren angebracht. Lediglich direkt am Weißensee war das Wandern ungestört möglich. Im Haus war alles vorhanden, um sich selbst versorgen zu können. Auch war es gemütlich eingerichtet. Leider war das einzige bequeme Doppelbett auf der Galerie. Da wir heizen mussten, war es genau dort oben abends besonders warm, was für uns, die wir lieber ein kühles Schlafzimmer haben, ungünstig war. Wir schliefen daher mit offenem Fenster, hörten dann aber die Geräuschkulisse am frühen Morgen.... ##### Friederike T. Es ist genau so wie in der Beschreibung und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Zudem gibt es sehr nette und hilfsbereite Nachbarn. Da wir großes Glück mit dem Wetter hatten, konnten wir die Terrasse nutzen und sowohl zum Frühstück als auch am Nachmittag den wunderschönen Ausblick auf die Berge genießen.
