House is clean, near so many local attractions and restaurants. House is very well equipped. Rare find -Fenced in backyard fantastic! only draw back is very steep stairs to second floor, problematic for young children and some older people
My family and I had a wonderful time in this very beautiful area of our country... Being in walking distance to the shops on Main St near the Red Lion Inn was great...My 8 year old grandson had the best time since we were also close to Butternut Ski Area and tubing...:-)
A great house and very convenient for Tanglewood activities. Beautiful backyard with picnic table and grill! Bedrooms and bathrooms were very well appointed. Love this house and gorgeous area!
Welcoming beautiful home with gorgeous mountain view and with lots of amenities. Everyone of us loved the place and will love to come back in the future.
As soon as we walked in the door, it was like coming home. Classic hardwood floors, vintage furnishings and a beautiful view were so welcoming. Jim and Anneke were beyond flexible and patient with my requests and questions, and the large fenced in yard was perfect for our dog. Great location too! Just wonderful!

From the moment we walked into the door knew this place was perfect! Very quaint and well-kept and the location is within walking distance to downtown Stockbridge.
We enjoyed our stay here! Very beautiful classic New England home in walking distance to downtown Stockbridge. Yard is fully fenced for the dogs. Just remember to bring your own poop bags. We felt right at home and would definitely stay here again.
The perfect house for a visit to Stockbridge with friends or family. Comfortable rooms/beds. Cozy seating areas. A kitchen with all you need. Beautiful back yard with a gorgeous view, a fire pit and plenty of seating. Short walk to town for good restaurants and shops. Loved our time here!
Our family had a very relaxing and comfortable Memorial Day weekend. We loved the backyard and view of the mountain. My favorite spot in the morning was sitting in the dining room looking at the beautiful scenery and the bunnies running past the fenced yard. Very close to Stockbridge and everywhere we needed to go. Great family memories and would highly recommend!
My friends and I had a great time at the house! It is very nice, super cool place, we were all comfortable and able to hang out and feel at home. Beautiful location, great back yard, fun short walk to the shops and restaurants in Stockbridge, walkable to multiple trailheads for beautiful hikes. It was perfect, would definitely come back.
This is the second year we have stayed at this wonderful little piece of heaven. It really deserves 10 stars. The property is spectacular and the location couldn't be better. It is peaceful and relaxing. Can't wait until next year!!!!
This lovely 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, pet friendly home is situated across the street from the Berkshire Theatre Group and a short drive to Tanglewood. It is also a short walk to the shops and restaurants in Stockbridge. The house is absolutely perfection and made our stay in the Berkshires amazing and awesome.
Jim and Anneke were awesome hosts - both proactive in their communications, and extremely responsive to questions or inquiries.
Great location - Main Street and the Red Lion Inn is about 4 blocks away. We walked to dinner at the Red Lion on Friday evening. Our party of four was impressed with the comfortable space available - the kitchen was clean and well appointed, and our beds were super comfortable.
We would gladly return for a future visit!
We had a great stay in this charming home. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen worked well for us since we we used it to prepare many of our meals. Although this was not a concern for us, the clawfoot tub in the bathroom upstairs (where the bedrooms are) could be difficult for someone with mobility challenges. The backyard is beautiful and the location was ideal. We loved being able to walk into town for a morning croissant, and it was a bonus to be able to walk right over to the hiking trails on Laurel Hill. We were also able to charge our car close by in the town hall parking lot. We would definitely stay here again!
Open plan house with lots of common areas and spaces for everyone to hang together or find their separate place. Kitchen was exceptionally well equipped with cooking supplies and lots of dishes and glasses. WIFI was great. Blow dryer, curling iron, games, everything we needed. Very close to the Red Lion. It was perfect for the five of us.
Charming house with only a 10 minute walk to downtown Stockbridge. Very comfy and clean with a great backyard and view. The windows along the back of the house really help bring the outdoors up close and the chairs there are perfect spot for having your coffee or glass of wine and enjoying the view. The Smeg appliances in the kitchen offer a nice retro feel and pop of color. The beds and linens were very comfortable. Anneke and Jim were great hosts, responded to all texts quickly and saw we had a toddler with us and let us know there was a pack n play and highchair at the house. I would stay here again!
Very comfortable home with a beautiful view. The fenced yard was a plus for our pet. This is an old home, so having slippers or gripper socks was helpful on the steps. Very comfortable king sized bed with good bedding. Lots of books and games. Well stocked kitchen with many appliances for cooking. Location is good for exploring the area with many good restaurants, shops, museums, Shrine of Divine Mercy, hikes, and the beautiful natural scenery of the Berkshires. Relaxing and peaceful week.
This house was a great find and perfectly located for our quartet of faraway family members to converge from our current homes in Oregon and Florida to revisit the Berkshires and rekindle memories of this special region from the 1970's and '80s, when we were New Englanders and owned a vacation home in Lenox. Everything was as advertised with the property and amenities, and the house provided a relaxing and convenient environment for our stay. We had easy access to the region's many charms, and we enjoyed an evening at Tanglewood, a Shakespeare & Company play, the Norman Rockwell Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art, and some outstanding dining in Stockbridge and Lenox. Everything was easy to navigate, and we greatly appreciated the responsiveness from Anneke & Jim when the dishwasher went on the fritz and they quickly saved the day by immediately replacing it with a new one!! That doesn't always happen, and it was greatly appreciated. Highly recommend this charming house!
We stayed in this house for a wedding weekend with family. The location was perfect for touring the area around when we weren't busy with wedding festivities. Nice fenced-in backyard with a view, which we didn't get to experience because we ran out of time. But there is a nice spot to have tea inside by the windows looking out. The house came well appointed with necessities. The cleaning people were no shows for the owners who did their best scrambling around to get the house ready for us. Such nice people! It was great to have the option of ceiling fan or air conditioning. The beds were very comfortable. We didn't do any cooking so can't attest to the kitchen equipment. So nice to be able to walk into the town of Stockbridge which was very cute. We all enjoyed our stay.
This is honestly one of the best places we have ever stayed. Even the kitchen was well equipped. The beds were comfortable though some in our party thought the pillows could have been more generous. The house is not without its oddities such as the high clawfoot tub and shower in one of the two bathrooms and the large retro design refrigerator that has its idiosyncrasies. The outside deck and backyard with view of the mountains are a delight. The hosts are pleasant and attentive. The neighborhood is quiet yet near the little hamlet of Stockbridge which has a fantastic French patisserie and other shops.
The location for Tanglewood can't be beat. You can avoid all of the Lenox traffic by heading north on local roads to the Lion's Gate parking or other lots. The Lee entrance to the Mass Pike is only a few miles away and without traffic.
If you go, be very careful walking up the front steps as they are unequal in height.
We were two couples and felt that it was just the right size for four people. It does sleep six.
All in all, a pleasant and convenient spot to enjoy the Berkshires.
