Osprey Hideaways overlooks the owners’ own 120-acre loch where ospreys can be seen feeding most days in season. 300ft high cliffs frame the far side of the water, making the views genuinely stunning. All the cottages are furnished to a very high boutique standard and provide excellent accommodation for couples or family groups. A welcome pack is provided including a bottle of bubbly so that you can relax as soon as you arrive. There is also lovely linen, towels, bathrobes - and even slippers! To top this off is the honesty room where you can borrow books, a huge selection of DVDs, games, toys and visitor information. As well as being only 4 miles from Stirling city centre, it’s only 5 miles to the motorway junction for surprisingly quick journey times to Edinburgh, Perth and Glasgow and all their facilities. Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park is 20 miles away and the mountains to the north or the beautiful sea lochs to the west are all within a 2 hour drive. There are numerous golf courses locally and even the Gleneagles course is only 35 minutes’ away. For walks the choice is endless and one of the best cliff-top walks in central Scotland starts right at the cottages! Stirling is a vibrant but compact university city offering wonderful attractions, including an incredible castle, the amazing Wallace Monument, the historic Church of the Holy Rude and even ghost tours. There are restaurants to suit all tastes, swimming pools, sport centres, multiplex cinema, theatre, museum, pubs and shops. The best bit is that Stirling is very much a year round destination. The perfect place for the perfect holiday! Shops, pubs and restaurants 4 miles.

This was, by far, the best cottage we’ve ever rented! My partner and I have always rented cottages rather than hotels, and this was the cleanest, nicest, best located cottage we’ve ever stayed in. The views were incredible, the hosts were so friendly and even left a welcome package containing cheese, butter, milk, eggs, biscuits, chocolate and a bottle of Prosecco! We had such a fabulous time here and would definitely stay again. Would highly recommend!
We stayed week commencing 12th July 2022, everything about our stay was more than perfect, what a surprise we got with our welcome pack on arrival, everything we needed and so much more. If you are looking for a perfect break, in a perfect location then we would highly recommend staying here.

Fantastic 4 day, last minute break at Kestrel Cottage, Osprey Hideaways, Stirling.Fabulous cottage, clean, cosy, tastefully done out with everything you could need. The views from french doors in bedroom, across the loch are ever changing and spectacular as are the walks and scenery around said loch, and on a clear night the star gazing is not to be missed ✨✨George, the owner is welcoming, funny, friendly and on hand if required. The very generous welcome pack was much appreciated as was the robes and slippers. All in all a superb cottage with a home from home feel in a spectacular location. A fantastic base to explore Stirling and beyond.Would definitely recommend to family and friends and hope to return in the near future. 10/10

Once again we have had a superb week in this wonderful cottage.
Once again we have had a superb week in this wonderful cottage. We discovered these cottages around 6 years ago and have just had our 4th stay. During this time of Covid-19 we were confident, through past experience, that the cottage would have been thoroughly cleaned before our arrival. We therefore had no qualms booking a last minute holiday in Kestrel cottage.

We absolutely loved the beautiful cottage and it’s surroundings.
We absolutely loved the beautiful cottage and it’s surroundings. There was a lovely welcome pack on arrival and clear, personalised guidance on everything we would potentially need ask about. We walked the trail around the reservoir, visited the (closed) sights in Stirling including the Wallace Monument and Stirling Castle and visited nearby Bridge of Allan. Watching the sunrise was also a highlight. We would definitely recommend to friends! Thank you for a great trip.

We would highly recommend these cottages. They are stylish, warm and tastefully decorated.
