Perfect place for our family trip. We had 5 adults and 4 kids. The house was perfect, enough space to spread out and have a bit of privacy and also be able to gather comfortably when we needed. The views, the air and the peacefulness were amazing. We’d love to come back and stay here again.
Plenty of space for our extended family of nine. Well placed for visiting a wide range of beaches and glens. Overall the weather was favourable, which allowed us to explore all over the Island.
Family holiday for 13 of us. 9 adults and 4 children. Had everything we needed and more. Lovely kitchen and rooms.. fully equipped.. beautiful location and a big enough space for us all to eat together at a table..
As a large family party this was the perfect find. We had good communication throughout. Management were very informative and approachable if we were to have any issues, which there were none. The photos of the property dont give it justice. Its a place that feels homely yet special. Thank you for allowing us to stay.
Ballaloaghtan is perfectly located 30 mins from Douglas but within easy reach of a village shop..5 mins, a fine dining restaurant….10 mins and beautiful walks from the barn.
We had a mix of weather but we did get to enjoy a walk up to South Barrule, a cycle ride around some of the TT circuit and a visit to Laxey on the Electric railway.
It was always a pleasure returning to the house where we could cook, eat and relax together after our busy days.
We will be returning 🙂
The barn at ballagloaghtan is fantastic all round and situated deep in the countryside but with gorgeous coastal views. Easy to get to most places within half an hour, be that Douglas or Port Erin and Peel. We went for the TT and it was perfect for arriving late for the races as you’re south of the course. Will be going back to the beautiful island and amazing barn.

Just unbelievable!
The barn is something very special. We were there for 5 days with my family and my parents. It's not only huge. Every room is furnished very elegantly and tastefully , the kitchen(s!) are fully equipped, it was very clean (I fear better than in my own flat). It was a wonderful time there.
We were a group of 8 adults and were thrilled that each couple had our own full bathroom. There was enough room for everyone to have their own space or to all enjoy each other as a group. I think what you don't see in the pictures is the view. It is SO BEAUTIFUL! We spent a lot of time outside lounging on the outdoor furniture, chatting, drinking and looking at that view.
I would highly recommend this property. It is just so special and the host was available the entire time....just a quick text away.
This home is amazing. Wonderful location minutes to Castletown and Port Erin. All bedrooms had their own bathrooms and the beds were comfortable and the rooms spacious. The kitchen is well stocked and you even have a half kitchen upstairs off the living room area. The pictures don’t do the property justice. The living room, sunroom and outdoor patio are good so.w and all comfortable to gather and hang out. The property is a farm so you have animals around you. Our children loved the green space as well as the children next door: The property is gated and the yard well maintained. We will be back and the only place I would stay on the Isle of Man!

Work trip
The barn was tricky to find but lots of directions given which helped. The house was beautiful and could accommodate large numbers - perfect for a family or intimate event.
Good self catering details thought of but for the price, small things could be improved. There was no welcome pack of nice coffee/loaf/milk which other properties (less high speck) we have stayed at on the island have have had. Limited serving dishes, some pans had no matching lids, a cracked glass in the cupboard upon arrival, no mirrors at dressing tables for drying hair and really cheap toiletries. For such a high end accommodation, these small things would enhance the experience and would not take a huge amount to change.
We did not handle the booking process but apparently the company were difficult to work with and get hold of. However, when we were on the island, the owner was clear we could text at any time of there were problems, so maybe the issue with booking was simply miscommunication.
Overall, a great place to stay.
It was difficult to find fault with anything at this gorgeous property. Obviously built and maintained to an extremely high standard. Silvia who met us at the property and showed us round was so helpful and went above and beyond to return an item we left by mistake before we got the ferry to return home. Very peaceful beautiful views. Fantastic.
For me and my family. This place was perfect. I went for my sons wedding and its not far from my sons house. We had the photographer come ro the house to take pics of all the groomsmen as it is such a beautiful place and I thought very reasonable price. I will definitely stay here again. I loved taking my grandchildren to see the sheep and baby sheep. I loved the fact that it was so roomy.
