There are also a few trails that you can walk to without having to get into your car. Our favorite was the Trout Trail that took you to the Boy Scout bay area. Lake Placid was about 2 hours away so we took a day trip to there. Beautiful scenery. Overall, we felt at home during our stay and loved the area. So peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommend."
