Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful clean and tidy room. gorgeous country views, fully enjoyed the "special attention" from our hosts. The meals and service were amazing. Chef "Stewart" cooked beyond perfection! The spa pool was very nice and relaxing. We enjoyed the 5 km trail walk around the property. A very calm, relaxing and safe feeling at this lodge. A highly recommend quiet retreat! Thank you for making our stay so memorable.

"We stayed here for a week in October 2026. We loved this hotel. The rooms and property were great. The dinning was a bit expensive. The buffet was not worth the cost. But we loved our room and the toiletries were a plus. It's conveniently located downtown but not a lot of sit down dining options ..."

"Elegant Hotel in a great location at the top of town. Very close to the Civic Theatre when attending a show and with the new CRL operating, the station by Aotea Centre is also handy. Easy parking in the attached building."
