It was so nice to lay in the lawn chairs on the deck and enjoy the river sights and sounds. The star viewing from bed was awesome. This is an amazing place! You are surrounded by nature, but you have every comfort you can think of. At night you can see a huge sky with so many stars it takes your breath away! The Sunset is great too, it takes up the whole sky! We have always loved stanley this was the first year at the cabin and we will be returning to it very clean had lots of accommodations as far as the stuff tbey had stocked for the bathrooms and odd and ins for kitchen use. Now the water does have the Sulphur smell and showering in it does make it seem like you are in the hotsprings but that is the smallest detail for what you get over all the only other thing that needs updated is the washer and dryer for it is old and can only wash like 4 shirts at a time if your just there a few days it wouldnt be bad. Well appointed kitchen, big loft bedroom, 2 bathrooms and a great deck overlooking the Salmon River. It has a quaint feel that permeates for a peaceful, relaxing vacation. The main upstairs bed was comfortable, and the fact that we could have our littlest dog with us was just what we needed. The location couldn't be better. It's right across the highway from rafting; it's very near the market; and you could walk into the town of Stanley if you were inclined. Beyond the cabin, the host was exceptional. I accidently forgot to pack my iPad upon our return home and located that I had left it behind at the cabin. She searched for it, found it, and sent it back to me, which truly was a blessing. When you're looking for a place to stay in Stanley, start your search here.
