"These properties are old and tired. Door knob on the bedroom did not work so when it is closed you can't get out, luckily you can escape through the bathroom. This hotel does not provide mini shampoos or starter coffee for a cup in the morning; you'll have to bring all of that yourself which is not too convenient if you are just spending the night. I think this place is intended for longer stays. They also apply some pressure to take a tour of the new properties they are building there (Resort Timeshare Sales I believe). All in all, not too bad but not great (Fair to Middling)..."

"This was a great place with a terrific restaurant at the lodge. For the price of the rooms , they were very outdated and very rustic looking. I know it's a campground/hiking area.\nBut they should either charge less for their rooms or improve the quality of the rooms and update them. I would certainly return there.It is very nice area and the staff and everyone was fantastic."

"The lobby and a few other areas had been updated and were very nice. The late night guest services gentleman who checked us in was super friendly and made us feel welcome. And, of course, there were the warm cookies! The room was also very nice and had all the amenities needed for comfort--plenty of options for recharging devices, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot. Unfortunately, the bathroom was out of date and needed some maintenance. The bathtub had a few black marks that, at first, looked like dirt, but were actually wear marks or stains. The bottom of the door was ragged and beyond repair. In addition to that, the bath gel was nearly empty--better attention about replenishing is needed. The best part of the room, however, was the bed. Incredibly comfortable mattress and crisp, fresh sheets. Best sleep in a long time!"

"The staff was awesome, the house was super beautiful and historic and the surrounding area was also very cool! About a 25 minute drive from the bottom of Shenandoah which was super convenient and right by a few restaurants and the Cave Hill Brewery (which was also so awesome)!! Will definitely be recommending to others, such a cool, unique experience"
