Bear Appetit restaurant was fabulous! We enjoyed the views, hot tub, & the games set up downstairs in our cabin. Since we paid a cleaning fee, we were surprised to find out the day before leaving, that we needed to take our trash with us, strip the bedding & place all linens in the shower, & put our dishes in the dishwasher (and start the dishwasher) before we left. Cabin was spotless and well-appointed and very comfortable. We appreciated being able to bring our Golden Retriever who loved watching the birds off the back deck. Joshua at the Lodge was very helpful with a check in situation and made amends quickly and beyond expectation. My partner and I recently stayed in the Humble Bee for a long weekend with our dogs. We've stayed in a great many cabins all over the country and this instantly became one of our favorites. The place was spotless when we arrived, and the pictures absolutely don't do it justice - it is so nice and cute and cozy. The cabin was the perfect basecamp for bopping around Shenandoah National Park, but also perfectly equipped for some relaxing downtime with one another in front of the woodstove. The hot tub was wonderful also! Our only regret was not staying longer! Neither one of us nor our dogs wanted to leave and we're already talking about coming back. Pro Tip - turn the hot tub first thing when you arrive so it has time to heat up :) ##### paige h. It’s very cozy and quiet. The disappointment was that I chose this cabin because of the hot tub, but the management didn’t inform me it had just been cleaned and would take two nights to heat up. We only got to use it in the morning right before leaving. That was a big bummer and I would have liked the option to cancel or be discounted. Also, be mindful of the spiral stairwell! Steps are narrow and incline is steep. We went outside and around to get in. Otherwise, it’s a nice escape for a short getaway. Good walking paths and nice views by the lodge. ##### Jennifer M. The power outlet in the main bathroom was dead. The front porch light was also dead or burned out. You should also check the main bathroom sink as it is draining slowly.
