All of the appliances are new, the house itself is out of a magazine, and the bed is super comfortable. We loved that there is a washer and dryer, a perfect porch, a fire pit, games, books, tv, everything. We can't wait to visit again!"

"My family had to drive up to Virginia for my cousins graduation from UVA. So this was a quick trip but seeing the views from the house were so beautiful, we wished we could have stayed longer! Make sure you have 4 wheel drive to get here, it is quite a steep ride up the mountain."

"The property was gorgeous and very relaxing. The cottage was clean and well kept with a comfy bed and cute coffee bar. The couch is a bit uncomfortable, but we didn’t spend much time lounging anyways. Great location and close to Skyline Drive and Shenandoah National Park for hiking. "Check-in was a breeze. The heat was on when we got there, fresh towels, linen, and a fully equipped kitchen. We had everything we needed to cook. We enjoyed using the outdoor charcoal grill for our New Years Eve feast. Our dog loved sniffing around and going down to the river. I wish it would have been warm enough to sit on the screened in porch, it was lovely! Very cozy, we will be back to enjoy it in the warmer months!"

"We spent a weekend hiking in Shenandoah NP. This was a perfect location to access the park. The house was clean and comfortable with all amenities included. The hosts were very sweet to leave fresh chicken eggs on our arrival and were very helpful to assist in anything we needed. Would definitely stay again!"

"We had a great time staying at the Squirrel’s Nest. The location is secluded but still only 15 minutes away from Shenandoah. The cabin was warm & cozy and a perfect escape from everyday life. Hot tub was a plus!"

"This has become an annual trip for my family. Very relaxing. Love spending hours at the rec center. The property is cool. Actually received brand new living room furniture on our second day. Only complaint would be the out dated TVs in the bedroom. I’m sure they’ll be changing those soon"
