Good week, great weather!
We spent 10 days at this condo. It is as described and very well outfitted with dishes, spices and even a bottle of wine to welcome us. The pros were: 1. the location to the pool 2. well-stocked cupboards with nearly every glass, plate, pan, utensil, etc. that you would need (unless you like to drink shaken martinis - then bring your own equipment - and not a dealbreaker) 3. we needed assistance from the on-site manager who was very helpful 4. the bed was so comfortable - and this is not always the case at vrbo properties 5. there was a safe in the closet that I would never have expected The cons were mostly things not in the control of the owner. However, they are mentionable: 1. Iggie's has not rebuilt since Hurricane Irma (2017) and is currently open in the resort next door. We felt like we were treated as second class citizens when we ate at the resort. They ask whether you are a guest of the resort. We went there several times during the week and tipped well, but they never curbed their attitude. 2. Mim's restaurant on site is open only for dinner and pricey 3. we referred to ourselves as 'landlocked'. Since we did not rent a car, our only options were taxi or walk. Iggie's and Mim's are the only walkables. Taxis were expensive and there is a list of taxis in the condo, but none answered their phone or would service that area 4. we were without TV. we couldn't figure it out and didn't want to ask for help 5. the bay did not look good, no one swam or snorkeled

Property manager was very responsive & no issues. Beach towels, water shoes, & other accessories are supplied. Description & pictures provide exact representation. Would definitely stay here again. Bolongo Beach is nice self contained area. There are 2 restaurants onsite that are walkable.

Perfect Ocean View
The location and view are great. Steps from the pool from the patio. Looking straight at the Ocean. You can hear the waves.The TV was upgraded since the photos in the posting were taken. They have a 43" Roku 4k TV and Viya cable. There is a small oven which we didn't use since we ate out. Blender for daiquiris which is super to have on hand. Make sure it is locked in facing forward or it won't turn on. Shower pressure and hot water good. You can walk the beach to Bolongo Bay Resort to eat or Mim's onsite for dinner. The pool has a foot wash which is perfect for cleaning off after visiting the beaches. Owner's were fast to respond when contacted through VRBO. Bolongo Bay just to make sure you know is not the best swimming beach. We've stayed in this complex before and the view and pool are worth it. We always rent a car and visit many of the other beaches. Sea weed is a bit random so one day a beach is clear and the next covered in sea weed. They try and clean it up but if a beach is hit try another one because it takes several days to remove it. Just an FYI for anyone who stays in St. Thomas this time of year. We have always found clear beaches. Magens Bay and Honeymoon Beach we have never seen any but... that was our experience. Last year Lindqvist Beach had it and this year clear. The studio has plenty of dishes and silverware etc... for whatever your needs. We like this complex for many reasons including good roads and parking.

Perfect place to enjoy St. Thomas!
We loved our stay on Bolongo Bay. The condo was well equipped with everything we needed and the view is fantastic. The king sized bed is very comfortable and the pool area is lovely to spend an afternoon lounging. We attended a wedding at Bolongo Bay Resort and could easily walk between properties to meet friends and attend events.

First time to St Thomas and it was AMAZING. I highly recommend visiting. The spot was great, but I would recommend renting a car. I had a bit of trouble getting taxis at times. It from what I could tell this is a less "touristy" area so they're not as abundantly in the area

We truly enjoyed our stay at this beachfront properly in paradise. Perfect for a low key girls trip with multiple restaurants within walking distance. Ferry was super close for day trips to St. John and the British Virgin Islands. Pool was lovely.

The property was so convenient with a beach, pool and two restaurants within walking distance right outside the door. It was not crowded or a high traffic area so it was peaceful and tucked away in it's own little cove.

Watergate East Villas March 2022
My husband and I stayed here in early March 2022 and we had a great time. The owner, Yolanta, was easy to work with and very responsive to our questions. Check-in/out was easy. The condo location was perfect for us as we had friends staying just a 5 minute walk down the beach at Bolongo Bay Resort. We have been to St Thomas numerous times on a cruise so we had done the tourist stuff at that time. We really didn’t go anywhere this trip as we visited with our friends down the beach and went to Flamboyan on The Bay Resort (near Magens Beach) to visit another friend. The condo was clean, equipped with everything we needed, and easy to walk to Bolongo Resort for food and drinks if we wanted. The only downside during our stay was that the pool for Watergate (which was literally right outside our condo) was closed for repairs. We did know this ahead of time, so it wasn’t a surprise to us. We were able to walk up the hills to 2 other pools at nearby resorts. When we were leaving, the pool reopened, and it looked wonderful. They have new furniture and you can’t beat the view. Not to be forgotten was our dinner at Mim’s Seaside Bistro on our last night. The restaurant was right at the resort and the food was delicious. It’s mainly seafood, but since neither of us eat seafood we had Italian dishes - they were delicious and portions were good. We would definitely recommend them. We would definitely return to Watergate East if we ever return for a land trip.

This condo is perfect for a couple. We loved the security bars and screens on the door and windows that allowed us to sleep without AC using the fans and listening to the ocean all night long each night. It is right on the water and near the pool. Yolanta was a perfect hostess and was very responsive when I had questions. The unit is easy to find and parking is easy. The unit has everything you need for visits to the local beaches. The sunrises were spectacular every morning. We were only disappointed that the Iggies Oasis Bar and Grill didn’t allow diners who were not guests at their resort to use their restaurant. The 2nd night we tried I asked if we could do take out. That worked and we brought it back to the condo’s balcony to enjoy. I would suggest bringing some Insect spray with Deet no matter what condo you go to. We got sand flea bites during our stay and they made for some itchy times. This is a wonderful unit and we would live to return!

Room equipped with almost all you would need to go to the beach to include chairs and coolers Laundry on site for a small fee Safe Quiet There’s a safe in the room Good WiFi Comfortable bed Nice pool Cons: There’s no direct way to get to the room from where you park unless you hop on and off the ledge, which we did. TV with minimal channels Beach access is kind of rough. You can walk over to Bolongo bay resort.

Beautiful walk out to the ocean and pool. Property was exactly as described with very good instructions from the owner, Yolanta. An unexpected benefit is the resort that is next door with beach chair rental and a bar and restaurant. They offered carry out with very reasonable prices that is only a five minute walk. Mim's restaurant is on the property with an awesome dining patio right on the water with excellent food. One of the best views we have ever had for a meal. A car is very much recommended. We were able to drive to all of the attractions and then get groceries at the Cost U Less. They have a large selection of wine. We would definitely stay here again.

Awesome condo on beach, very nice interior
You all have thought of everything including hand sanitizer, Lysol etc...SUPER clean & comfortable!! Obviously a lot of love & attention has gone into this condo. Security bats allow you to keep screen doors & windows open all night, securely allowing to have fresh air & sound of waves- super relaxing!! Thank you for delicious bottle of wine on our arrival :-) It got the vacation started right. Perfect place to sit outside on the terrace & enjoy seeing dolphins & sea turtles in ocean! Can walk to Iggies Beach Bar & listen to some island tunes- great pm “in”. All new, comfortable bedding, dishes, placemats etc...large cooler & snorkeling equipment there too. Loved the large shower! We will definitely be back. The 2 of us stayed at this condo & family rented a 2 bed unit at same resort which had not been updated & the differences were immediately obvious. You all made this a GREAT vacation!!

Yolanta was an amazing host and super responsive! Property was exactly how it looked in the pictures upon arrival and very clean. It’s in a quaint spot that is family oriented with a pool out front. It is only a 10-15 minute drive to red hook and some of the best beaches on the island. Mims is just next door and the food there was delicious. Great outlook onto the water in the mornings, and she has everything you need. Snorkels, chairs, beach mats, towels, etc. Would definitely book again and highly recommend!!!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. The views from the patio were really lovely. The unit had what we needed though most items in the unit were older and well used. The pictures accurately represented the looks of the unit. We did encounter an issue with the electricity going out in the unit but fortunately the property management company was able to resolve the issue that day. The beach is not the sugar soft sand as some of the other beaches on island are, but it was a short walk from the unit. Unfortunately, the resort amenities such as the water activities were off limits to us because we were not technically part of the resort and they wouldn't even let us pay to use them. So that was disappointing. As for the location, it was easy to find and not too far from other places of interest to us on the island. If you are looking for a good, valued place to stay, I would recommend staying here.

Yolanta's place was perfect for us! It was just as pictured, facing the bay and the pool area. So beautiful to wake up to the waves everyday! And we had resident Iguanas outside that came to visit sometimes. The unit itself was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen with pots, dishes, glasses etc. We used the beach chairs and towels. There were snorkeling gear as well. Nice pool. Most of the guests were quiet. And there's 2 restaurants right on the bay you can walk to. There are 2 supermarkets within 10 minutes by car, as well as gas stations for convenient quick stop shopping. Charlotte Amalie and Red Hook are just 15 minutes away by car. There are many steep hills to drive; and driving is on left of road but you get used to it. We LOVED the place and will definitely return!!

The great and the not so good
Beautiful location and the property was well kept. Over all I would rent again now that I know the layout and I feel confident the mgr will improve the cleaning process after this review. Please read through the entire review. "The not so good" The unit looked to be clean overall but lost some confidence in this idea after opening the coffee maker to find the most awful looking used coffee filter covered in mold. I also feel important information was kept from me when communicating w Yolanta. Several properties offered transportation and help w grocery shopping so I asked if she could suggest anyone because I have a bad back. Her response was to suggest taxis and that I get luggage w wheels on it. Now even that feeble suggestion would not have helped in this situation. She mentioned there were "some steps" but, though she knew I had a bad back, she failed to explain there were 5 steps up from the parking lot, 9 steps down to pool level, and then another 5 steps to get down to front door level. So please do not think, as I did, that because you can walk out the sliding door to the pool you can: A. Walk out the front door right to the parking lot. B. Use the sliding door to come and go (no outside lock on it) C. Go from sldg door to the beach. (The photos shown are old and there is nolonger a beach in front of the property) "The Great" A. You can enjoy the sound of the waves at night and feel secure w a lockable gate across the sldg doors. B. See a spectacular view every minute. C. Well supplied kitchen. D. Great new shower. F. Large closet w dresser for all your things. E. Driveway on side of the bldg leads to a quiet public beach. F. You're welcome to shop, eat, or take lovely catamaran cruises at Bolongo Beach Resort/Iggies. (All beaches, including hotels, are public.) G. Mims restaurant for dinner - walk around pool and take a short path to some tasty local seafood and great service from a wonderful staff. Keep in mind that if you rent a car you'll be driving a US car on the left side of very hilly roads w some wild fellow drivers. If you choose a taxi ride be sure to read the official taxi fare info on the govt website. Taxis charge per person and luggage is extra. It can get expensive, as can groceries. I'll recommend the Godfrey tour. The tour is in an open vehicle w loads of room. He offers drinks and the most comprehensive information. Over all I would rent this property again.

Arrived to a nice bottle of wine for my gf and I. Also some coffee for us too. Everything in the villa was as listed and well received. I rated this experience great because I would def come back and stay here; however, here are some things to think about from our stay..... 1st one was a major no sand in front of villa (100 feet) at ocean as photo's wrongly show. How long since 2017 hurricane does it take to put sand here when 1 mile down the road there's a huge gravel quarry with sand and I saw sand piles close by to draw from and equipment to install it. I had to walk the concrete jersey barrier 100' down to the sandy beach near bolongo bay which was against their posted signs but the people at Bolongo were okay with it. So essentially I almost didn't have any sandy ocean on this trip unless I drove to it. The oceanside cliff pool is out of commission (still) which was a bummer, but the hillside pool was cool and open. There was no dishwasher which was annoying, and it took us 30 minutes and 3 people to figure out the TV to work (remote needed batteries). Also, the bathroom shower was great, but the bathroom space was tiny and having to squeeze around with 2 people in it. There were many pluses to staying here so my negs are simply things to think about. During this COVID time, the island was fantastic with face coverings and wipe downs, etc (better than USA states).

Beautiful place to stay.
We were close to Red Hook and took the ferry to St. John. Several beaches were in the area. Two excellent restaurants, Mim's and Iggy's, were right there bordering the condo unit. We had a great view of the water. Awesome time in St. Thomas!

Great accommodations for destination wedding
My aunt and I stayed at this condo for a friends destination wedding which was taking place at the Bologna Bay Beach Resort right next door. It was the perfect location as we could walk along the beach to all the festivities at the resort for the wedding. We also took advantage of the amenities of the resort (food and taxi service, etc). There is also a restaurant right there at the property as well. The condo was clean and a good size. There was an issue with the hot water heater in which the owner responded immediately and told me to get the property manager who fixed the issue and showed us how to fix it if it happened again. That was the one and only issue which wasn’t a very big one at all. The condo is on the bottom floor which I thought might be a safety concern but we felt safe. There is a sliding bar type door and on the window for added safety precaution however I will say that I even walking back and forth from the resort to the condo at night never felt unsafe. There is an iron and hair dryer at the condo. The bathroom was nice and modern, stocked with plenty of towels. I was also pleasantly surprised that beach towels were provided. I brought my own not realizing this in advance. I would definitely recommend this condo for your stay. It was perfect for our needs.

The condo was clean and has an ocean view. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had. The only downside of this condo is the location. There is no swimming beach at this location, you will have to take transportation to go to a swimming beach. Transportation can be quite costly. There are only two restaurants in walking distance and if you are into the dining experience, you have to take a cab to go to the restaurant of your choice. The restaurant next door at the bolongo resort is great. We dined there almost every day. You can also use the activities that is offered by the bolongo beach resort. Overall, we had a great experience.

This condo is in a great location in St. Thomas VI. The bathroom was very clean and was updated. The condo is right on the water. The pictures are exact. The pool area is so close. Very well maintained. There is a great restaurant and bar on property! We enjoyed our stay at this condo!

What a great location!
Steps from the pool, beach and Mim’s and A 2 minute walk along the beach to Bolongo Bay restaurant which is a great spot for lunch. Incredibly convenient location-the condo had everything we needed and Red Hook and Charlotte Amalie are 10 minute cab rides away.

This property like all of Saint Thomas has experienced some storm damage. The beach was severely damaged, and the beachside restaurant had to relocate. The rental unit however was fully functional and a pleasure to stay in. The sliding glass door leading to the patio was 32 steps (I counted) from the edge of the condo’s pool. The pool is also in great condition. The unit is on the ground level, making it impossible to resist popping out to the pool several times a day. Inside the unit the owners have provided for all the conviences you could reasonably ask for. In addition to the normal microwave, stove, refrigerator, dishes, utensils, glasses, ect that you expect in any condo rental, there were board games, flashlights, spare batteries for tv remote controls, snorkels, dive masks, island maps, plastic pool-safe drinking glasses, beach chairs and a host of things I can’t remember. The room was very comfortable for two people. My only quibble was with the bed which was firmer that I like, but I know preferences vary. Also, Mim’s Restaurant is no more than 30 steps (but I did not count them) from the pool deck.

This condo needs serious updating and cleaning!
Staying at this condo was not the joyful experience we were expecting. The bathroom is extremely old - the only thing that had been done was an addition of tile in the shower, but the rest of the bathroom is in need of replacement - everything was in poor condition.The floor was filthy (hair & dirt everywhere), as was the area where the bed was located. The rug in the bathroom and in the entryways were so old (and stained) that we slipped on them due to the lack of backing and moved them out of our paths for safety reasons. We dropped something and looked under the bed for it - a lot of trash, dirt, etc. was there... The kitchen windowsill looked like it hadn't been dusted in years. The stove was filthy as well, and one of the burners didn't work, while another, regardless of the setting, remained on "high". There is a serious lack of maintenence in this condo and in the entire complex. The grounds are not well-kept - we saw the same trash left for the entire time we were there (2 weeks) and a can outside the manager's office was piled high (and overflowing) with cigarette butts, emitting an awful odor. The outdoor plants were not well-taken care of; many were half-dead. The laundry room was very poorly-maintained, with 2 washing machines & 2 dryers; one of the washers was broken the entire time we were there. Be aware that there is no management available on the weekends, and many times there was no one in the office when they were needed. There is no generator on the premises; the power went out repeatedly, leaving all of us stranded, yet all of the properties around us had immediate generator back-up. Reminder: If you do plan to stay here, invest in some washcloths - we were only given one each for our 2-week stay.... The only positive thing we could say about this condo was that the view was nice. Take our advice - spend a little more and stay at a place you can truly enjoy!

You complained about the stairs, calling me after arrival. And you did not report any other concerns. I offered you 100% refund upon your immediate check-out, but you decided to stay for the full time. We have rented this condo for more then 2 years already, and we have nothing but good relationship with all our guests, so far. We hire local island residents to take care of the condo, which are loyal, and hard working people, and you met one of them, when she open the door for you. The accusations of them not cleaning well is wrong, and racist. We also reduced your fee. Nothing more we can do. There are still many people who enjoy stay with us and are coming back.
