It is ideally located having the Elysian Beach Resort's two restaurants, pool bar, and private resort pool with hot tub on this shared property. Minutes from Red Hook and the ferry to St. John and other virgin island destinations, this 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo sleeps 2-6 people comfortably and has AC, WiFi, washer and dryer and SMART TV. It is likewise ideal for families and even has a high chair and crib/Pack 'n Play. From the minute you walk into "Mermaid Cove," you will be transported to a Caribbean paradise. An island flair greets you throughout---starting with the inviting palm tree entry foyer. Each bedroom has a beautiful view and tropical ambiance. The garden bedroom sleeps 4 having two twin beds that can be set up as one king as well as a daybed with pop-up twin trundle bed that rolls out. This bedroom overlooks the garden which is filled with many colorful varieties of flora. The garden side patio has a Weber propane barbecue grill as well as lounge chairs so you can enjoy the picturesque surroundings. The ocean bedroom has a queen size bed with its own separate entrance patio overlooking the magnificent turquoise waters of Cowpet Bay. This is a perfect spot to enjoy breakfast as you start your day or a glass of wine as you watch the awe-inspiring moonrise. The newly renovated garden bedroom's bathroom has a beautiful shower with a custom designed one-of-a-kind mural that has been created exclusively for "Mermaid Cove." The ocean bedroom's bathroom has a glass enclosed shower with beautiful turquoise glass tile with tiny seashells scattered within. New fixtures, vanity, quartz counter top, toilet and accessories enhance the master bedroom suite. Each bathroom has a separate sink and vanity area for multi-functionality. The living room and dining room are one very spacious room tastefully decorated for a warm, welcoming island life style. New lighting, sofa, loveseat, and beautiful white palm leaf paddle fan draw your attention immediately. The sofa is a queen size sleeper sofa which adds additional options for sleeping arrangements and makes "Mermaid Cove" capable of sleeping 8 in beds. The best feature of this area is the breathtaking Caribbean Sea view. A SMART TV can be enjoyed at this central location along with a new DVD player for any favorite movies you may choose to bring. The freshly painted balcony patio has new patio furniture where your family and guests can enjoy conversation and having a meal together. The kitchen has been renovated with new custom cabinets, quartz counter tops, new appliances, farm sink, and lighting. It has everything you need and more! It is very well stocked with dishes, glassware, stainless, pots and pans, etc. You can pack light and avoid baggage fees and lines by making use of the convenient washer and dryer----especially if you are a family with children. Cowpet Bay beach has many amenities. A beach hut steps away from your beach lounge sells drinks as well as various other items. Kayaks and other beach toys are available to rent. Beach chairs are plentiful and finding your favorite type of location is easy be it a shady spot under a palm tree or a sunny one where you can work on your tan. The guests of "Mermaid Cove" also can use the Elysian Beach Resort's pool and hot tub. A digital key bracelet and passes to the pool's gated entrance are provided for you. This is a private membership that not all Cowpet Bay condos offer. The pool is perfect for children and they just love the waterfall grotto that is centrally located in the pool for their amusement. New patio tables, umbrellas, and chaise lounges surround the pool making it a great place for a day of relaxation and lunch together. Exploring the island is a must! We enjoyed trying to find all the mermaids to throughout the space. We loved relaxing in the breeze on the balcony every day. The owner was very responsive. Minutes from the restaurants and stores in Red Hook. A short walk to a great beach and the pool. The house was well equipped, clean, roomy and the owners were friendly and very helpful. The place was well maintained and the host was very quick to respond on any questions including suggestions on beaches, activities, and dining. My 3 kids were easily all able to share the second bedroom - in fact a 4th kid would have fit comfortably! August was a great time - as nothing was crowded in the area. ##### Amanda F. Communication with the owner was prompt and easy. This was our third time staying at Cowpet Bay but the last time was 15 years ago. The location is fantastic. I love that there are bars and restaurants that we can walk to from the condo and Red Hook is just a short drive away. Located in a perfect, safe area with easy access to all the beautiful parts of St. Thomas! Ferry is located so close to get to St. John’s! The kitchen is a dream to prepare and cook food in. The whole condo is clean and well taken care of. You also have your own grill to cook on! We will definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in St. Thomas! ##### Robin L. Very maintained property with a private beach and a few eats just steps away. Loved Jackie’s condo and the views from the balcony!! Condo and property look just as pictured online. Great location to the town of Red Hook 5 mins down the road with many restaurants, shopping, hang outs, a grocery store and the Red Hook ferry to St. John. Condo is about 25 mins away from the town Charlotte Amalie, mountain top look out and paradise point sky ride. A big part of the success of the week was the great condo and suggestions from Jackie! This condo had the perfect layout for us, as well as the perfect location. We did rent a car and visited the beaches on the east side of the island. Magen’s Bay was our favorite and Coki our least favorite. It was too crowded for us, but we did enjoy Coral World on Coki Point. Our host was so helpful with list of notes and answered any questions very quickly. Having coolers and chairs available for us to use was also great. The condo is close to Red Hook, so we were able to catch the ferry to St John for an all day trip to beaches for snorkeling. This was a great condo, great host, and the best way to spend winter break! Thanks Jackie!!! ##### Michele R.
