Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy

Reservation was canceled day of arrival!!

We arrived in FL, picked up our rental car, I opened my email to check for a message from the host as to accessing the property & received an email saying: "RESERVATION CANCELED PLUMBING ISSUES"! What?? It's 4pm & we have no where to stay for 16 days in the middle of spring break time. Called VRBO right away & after an hour on the phone with them, they did put us up in a hotel (not the best accommodations) & we had to stay there while they looked for another place for us to stay, as did I. I finally found a place to stay (3 days later) that was nice & we were able to enjoy the remainder of our vacation - but not the same size condo we paid for & we had to pay almost the same price. I hope this host is not allowed to rent to anyone else. We should have been notified earlier & wonder why we couldn't still have stayed there & accommodated repair men as needed??? No explanation, no phone call, terrible communication. Mary
