I stayed with my husband and our almost 2 year old to visit family in St. Charles for 4 days. Cool older home, but updated with modern conveniences. Both bedrooms were upstairs and got a little toasty, but central AC a window box in one room made it very comfortable. It was a great stay and a great find for the price! Neighbors were friendly and it was located on a quiet street that was still very close to everything. A note is that the stairs are steep and the bathroom is downstairs (away from the two bedrooms), so for little ones or older folks, it may be something to be mindful of. ##### Danielle D. We found this house and it was perfect! The location was great as we were able to walk to Historic Main Street or in the opposite direction to Raising Cane’s. We felt very safe in the neighborhood. We wanted to visit the arch and city museum and each destination was about 30 minutes away. Super easy drive to the city. Rachel was super easy to reach and responded very quickly! We had a tv mishap and she responded within moments of texting her & the issue was resolved quickly!Also, I was impressed with the hot water! Only negative was not owners fault. My wife and I are 67 and the bedrooms are upstairs so getting up to go to the bathroom was inconvenient. Only bathroom is downstairs. ##### Ron S. They put up a tree for us since we were going to be there over Christmas. There were 5 of us, 2 in each bedroom and 1 on the couch. The couch has a piece that pulls out from underneath it to make a full size bed. They have linens for that bed in the laundry room. The two upstairs beds were comfortable and the pillows were good. The living room had two couches and 2 chairs so there was plenty of places to sit. The dining room was larger than it appeared in the pictures so that was nice. The kitchen had what we needed. We were not there for many meals. The bathroom was good. It has a washer and dryer and detergent. So we were able to do a load of laundry. The shower has body wash, shampoo and conditioner. That was really nice, not to have to bring our own. There isn't room on the sink to place things put there is the top of the dryer so a lot of our personal items went there and it was close to the sink so that was fine. It is almost exactly a half mile to walk down Jackson street to Main street St.Charles. The young adults walked and us older adults were able to just park around 3rd street and walk the last bit. It is uphill the walk back so keep that in mind when you decide which to do!! There are a lot of shops, restaurants and bars on the main street. We only made it once since we were there to visit relatives. But it is entirely worth checking out. I would highly recommend this VRBO and would stay here again! ##### Celeste B. We enjoy the location and size of the living room. As well as the washer/dryer and dishwasher. As not all historic VRBO in St. Charles offer this.
