The most famous sight on St Kitts is the UNESCO-listed Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park. Built at the end of the 17th century, the fort now houses a fascinating museum and offers great views of the surrounding area. To learn even more about the island’s past, visit Bloody Point. Just a mile west of Basseterre, Bloody Point saw a grisly massacre in 1626 when the British pre-empted a revolt from native Carib Indians.
