Enjoyable stay! Property is very clean both inside and outside. Unit has everything you need in both the bathroom and the kitchen. Coffee is replenished daily. Housekeeping makes the bed and replaces the towels as needed. The views from the patio are amazing!

This is a large property, but overall was quiet and nicely kept. Unit was spacious, clean, everything in good working condition. Resort staff very responsive and helpful. While kitchen at first glance appeared well stocked with cooking equipment, the stove was an induction stove which requires special pans and there were only 3 (small skillet, small saucepan, large pot) that were compatible with induction stove. My only suggestion is that they upgrade the cookware to be compatible with the stove, otherwise use of the stovetop is limited. Otherwise it was spacious, clean, quiet, and had everything we needed. HVAC worked very well also.

The property was absolutely wonderful! Out of a 2 week honeymoon this was our favorite place to stay at! The privacy, calmness and closeness to pool/beach/downtown made it so worth the stay! My husband and I are so excited to come back! The shower was so roomy, the bed super comfortable, the tvs with music channels so fun and the staff top notch!

Beautiful condo and location.... morning peacock visits and beautiful evening sunsets right from the patio. The open shower/bathroom is more suited for couples rather than friends but we made it work:) Wonderful week in Paradise!

The grounds were beautiful. The room was nice..until the hot water tak from the unit above leaked. Then the front desk staff was rude and the owner saw no reason to make any accommodations to us for the inconvenience. At over $1,000 a nite with taxes and fees, I would expect better.

1st time in St John

The resort is an a terrific location with easy access to tons of shops and restaurants just a short stroll down the hill. The resort staff were all friendly and very helpful. Daily housekeeping was great. The Ocean 362 restaurant was perfect with the sunset views and awesome food. We'll be booking again!

Nice way to end our vacation

We spent our last night at Captain & the mermaid after a week in St John. I am glad we decided to spent the day at the beaches in St. John because there was a lot of seaweed on Sapphire Beach and 1 of the pools was closed. We got their after 4pm so by the time we showered we were ready for dinner. What was great is there is a Fantastic area down on the waterfront that had live music, great pizza and a bar. It’s was a great spot that left us stress free to get to the airport. The condo was very nice and updated & Our host was fantastic about answering all questions very quickly. I would definitely recommend this host.

Absolute PARADISE!

We have just returned from a one week stay at Gallows Point Resort in St. John. We stayed in suite 8B. It was perfection. We loved that the suite had a kitchen with a full sized refrigerator/freezer and microwave so that we could store cold drinks and leftovers from nearby restaurants. The unit also had a full sized coffee maker with coffee and creamer provided daily. The location of this resort is very walkable to the many restaurants and shops in Cruz Bay. Jill, in the gift shop, was very helpful in helping us plan for excursions and car rental. After each busy day exploring the island, we topped off the day with a dip in the swimming pool and then closing out by sitting on the patio with a cocktail and the beautiful sunset. I highly recommend this property and Richard is very quick to answer any questions .

Gallows Point Suite 8B

We couldn't have asked for a more picturesque, conveniently located, and well-equipped property. Our patio was steps from the beach and resort pool. We loved the peacocks and iquanas that visited each morning. And the sunsets were spectacular! Can't wait for a return trip!

BEWARE: SHOWER DISASTER

For 4 nights we had NO HOT WATER and since the shower has NO WALLS, the entire bathroom and adjoining sunroom was a rainforest every time. It actually created a little river into that sunroom, soaking my luggage, and ruining a COVID home test kit which rendered it useless for travel by loosening the seal. In the bathroom, it took 3 bath towels to dry the floor so we wouldn't slip on them. Not acceptable for these rates. What a shame for such a beautiful property with gorgeous views. Choose another unit here.

Convenient with all needs met

Loved walking access to restaurants at night, and the views from the window. Morning visits from peacocks and iguanas while drinking coffee on the patio added to the color. Decent snorkeling right out front - sad to see the coral in decline but still beautiful fish out there. On our day without a car it was an easy walk to the beautiful beach at Solomon Bay. We wouldn't have discovered this beach had we not been staying so close to Cruz Bay.
