Pirate's Cove is a beautiful one bedroom apartment close to town. Newly remodeled, it offers a large, curtained-off bedroom with a new king bed, a NEW split unit A/C, a bright and airy kitchen and a cozy living room. Enjoy your own outdoor patio for eating or taking in the active view of the car ferry and bustling Cruz Bay. Grocery shopping (7 minute walk) and downtown Cruz Bay (15 minute walk) are minutes away. There is also a large parking area if you are renting a car. NEW split unit A/C to cool entire apartment! \*\*\*\*\*\*\*Recent review from another travel site:   
We loved our stay at Pirate's Cove! Communication with Adrienne was fantastic - she provided some very helpful guidance both in the lead up to the trip, as well as during the stay itself. Both her and Chuck were friendly and approachable, and made sure any questions or issues were resolved. The apartment was absolutely spotless when we arrived, and felt very well looked after. The bed was comfortable, temperature and air flow of the apartment were excellent, and we loved waking up to views of the green hills of Cruz Bay. In terms of location, I would personally recommend staying just out of the downtown core - much less touristy, but still with great convenience to everything we needed. We did not rent a car, but had no trouble getting around (groceries were 7 minutes walking away, restaurant options close by, taxis to beaches were a 15 minute walk away). There is no doubt we would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks for such a great time on St. John!!

#### Enjoyable stay at Pirate Cove

This was our first time visiting St. John, and we were looking for a central location to check out Cruz Bay and the north shore. Pirates Cove was the perfect location for that! We enjoyed the view of the port and the private patio and parking spot. Adrienne was very welcoming and hospitable and made us feel at home. The street up to the property is very steep and was a bit much for us to walk (we are in our 60’s) but overall we had a great time! We definitely recommend Prirates Gove!

#### Room in Saint John close to town

The unit was as described but more emphasis should have been made as to how steep the hill was for walking. It was brutal walking uphill for 2 people in their 70s. The owners are very pleasant and helpful. It is a 15 minute walk to town. The unit was very comfortable.

#### Cozy Spot, Convenient Location

The property was clean and nicely decorated with thoughtful touches like earplugs (great for those early roosters everywhere on the island). It was a safe, 15 minute walk to town. We’d stay here again. The AC in the unit worked well. We were comfortable throughout the night. Owners are friendly and available any time for assistance.

Pros: The flat parking area was very convenient. We appreciated the bottle of rum as well as the cooler and beach chairs available for use. The bed was comfortable and the host responded quickly when I messaged her. Cons: The hill that leads up to the property is massive. We are healthy 30 year olds and opted not to walk it. The A/C unit is not enough to cool the place. I don’t think it ever got below 75 degrees - we were sweating the entire time. This place is EXTREMELY noisy. The property owners left us ear plugs, but it wasn’t enough. You can hear every diesel truck, every rooster and every move the neighbors make. We didn’t get much sleep. Our first night we had a mouse in our bed. The entry door is not very insulated and has a large gap allowing small critters in. The second night, we woke up to a cockroach on the floor by the bed.It was very hot the days that we stayed there and I’m sure there was added noise because of Carnival going on, but I wouldn’t stay there again.

#### Stay at Pirates Cove

Walk time to town is accurate (15 min). Only 5 min to Marketplace, largest grocery on island. Nice and quiet outdoor area with views of downtown. Best part of this property is large private (level !) parking area for your rental vehicle. It was easily accessible, we left all are beach gear in jeep entire stay. Will definitely return.

#### Pirate’s Cove is an island treasure!

Excellent hosts! Lovely, bright, cheery, clean, well cared for place with a beautiful patio under a giant tamarind tree with great bird watching. Really comfortable bed and great cross breeze to keep you cool at night. Adrienne put up a folding bed for my teen son without me even asking. Everything you need to cook your meals. Really close to Starfish market where we got fresh fish. (There is also a great little bookstore and cafe there.) The bottle of rum, cans of coke, and fresh ice were a welcome treat upon our arrival. Everything you need for the beach is provided: towels, chairs, floaties. We didn’t rent a Jeep but there is ample parking. We walked and like much of St.John it was hilly but easily walkable from town or a quick cab ride after a long day at the beach. Adrienne and Chuck were available for any questions and were great to get to know. They provide a great guide to all things about the island. I would stay again in a heartbeat!

This was a great place to stay and checked all of the boxes for us: very clean, walking distance to town, many of the necessities and niceties, and the owners are very communicative. And the bottle of rum was very nice. Please read previous reviews about the roosters and need for ear plugs - you will need them. Also, the power did go out a couple of times including once for at least 12 hours. This is something that happens on the island and does require a bit of planning. I was mostly prepared with my headlamp, deck if cards, etc., but wish I would have brought my charging pad for our phones. Next time! All and all, a great place to stay and if I return, I will stay here again.
