Those cool breezes and spectacular sunsets are just two of the extraordinary features of this beautiful villa. Las Brisas Caribe is located in an upscale neighborhood of luxury homes just minutes from the shopping and restaurants of Cruz Bay, and the magnificent, world-renowned North Shore beaches, such as Trunk Bay, Hawksnest Bay and others. If you love sunsets, you will love Las Brisas Caribe. L​as Brisas Caribe is a 4 bedroom, 4.5 bath home with classic Caribbean architecture and every modern luxury. The villa is completely air-conditioned throughout the bedrooms and common areas, including the great room, gourmet kitchen, and elegant dining room. Each bedroom has its own en suite bath and private outdoor shower. The villa faces south and west with spectacular views of sailboats in the Caribbean Sea and the nighttime lights of St. Thomas. The sunsets at Las Brisas are magnificent, especially when enjoyed from the Crow's Nest - an easily accessible covered roof deck with sunset views of the Caribbean Sea. There is nothing like it on St. John. Many returning guests compliment the layout of Las Brisas, saying that it provides the perfect combination of private spaces and common areas. Each bedroom and adjoining balcony is situated for privacy. The common areas are spacious and provide comfortable seating. While perfect for communal gatherings, the common areas are also secluded. For example, the sun deck adjacent the large pool and its soothing waterfall is surrounded by lush tropical landscaping, and the Crow's Nest floats above the rest of the world. Las Brisas Caribe is managed by Suite St. John, a company known for its devotion to superior client service. The villa is owned by Thomas Pardini and Cheryl Ellsworth of Alexandria, Virginia since 2004 and meticulously maintained by them as if they lived full-time in their Caribbean home. Tom and Cheryl invite you to their home-away-from-home. Villa Las Brisas Caribe is an architectural gem. The villa was designed to take advantage of its sunset and seaside views, and to offer maximum island luxury with its 8' mahogany doors and native stonework. Las Brisas has been meticulously maintained, and was upgraded in 2018-2019\. The pictures on this website are current, taken in 2019. ​As you enter the estate, you step onto a sun-bathing/star-gazing antique brick deck which overlooks the spacious pool. The poolside deck includes lounge chairs for sunning while the gazebo provides shade, if desired. A soothing waterfall descends from the sun deck into the pool. The pool is private, as it is surrounded by lush tropical landscaping. Looking toward the Great House, you immediately notice the elegant columns which functionally define shady common spaces, such as the front veranda (perfect for reading and conversation) and outdoor dining room, both of which overlook the pool area. L​​as Brisas Caribe sleeps eight people. There are four bedrooms, all of which are air conditioned and include louvered mahogany screened doors and ceiling fans. Each bedroom is distinctly furnished and secure. The Orchid Suite (master bedroom) has a four poster hand-carved king size bed, tiled bath with two vanities, an antique-style soaking tub and private outdoor shower. The balcony overlooks the pool with views of St. Thomas. The Bougainvillea Suite is above the main entrance to Las Brisas Caribe in a privately located separate building east of the Great House. It includes a queen bed, private bath and private outdoor shower. The Bougainvillea Suite has sea views, while still overlooking the pool, its landscaping and St. Thomas. The sister suite of The Bougainvillea Suite is The Palm Suite, situated in a building to the west of the Great House and steps away from the great room and kitchen. It includes a queen bed, private bath, private outdoor shower and balcony overlooking the pool and St. Thomas.​ The Hibiscus Suite is downstairs from The Palm Suite in the west building. Its separate entrance opens to the pool deck and gazebo. It includes two twin beds that convert to a king bed, private bath and private outdoor shower. The Palm Suite enjoys poolside and tropical landscaping views.​ ​Las Brisas Caribe is located on Maria Bluff, the south shore peninsula between Great Cruz Bay (where The Westin Resort is located) and Chocolate Hole. This is a quiet neighborhood of expensive homes, many of which are occupied by full-time residents. The restaurants, shopping and nightlife of Cruz Bay are within a 5-10 minute drive on paved roads. Three modern food stores are within minutes of the villa. The US Virgin Islands National Park and its spectacular beaches are 15 minutes away. Las Brisas Caribe provides beach chairs, beach towels, and coolers for your use.​ St. John is a special place and Las Brisas Caribe wants to ensure that St. John is environmentally protected. Solar panels were installed to take advantage of its southern exposure and supply 30% or more of Las Brisas's power consumption (you will not see the solar panels until you climb to the Crow's Nest). Any unused power is returned to the island. The air conditioning units (new in 2019) are optimized for efficiency. The oversized cisterns at Las Brisas are under the great room and collect rainwater which is then triple-filtered for household use. In addition, our state-of-the-art septic system cleans waste water and returns it to the landscaping irrigation system. This includes water from the laundry room (two washers and two dryers that are available for the use of our guests). Las Brisas Caribe is a non-smoking, pet-free villa. Great rooms and beds, wonderful views, great lap pool, nice to have personal bathrooms for each bedroom. Kitchen was beautiful. Could use a few more cooking utensils, silverware, bowls, and platters for doing meals for 8 at home but we managed. The grill was too small and is too little to functionally make dinner for the size of group for house. If you were two people fine but we were group of. 8\. Tommy the property manager was very responsive. We had issues with water pressure a couple of times but he was there in moments and had it fixed. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and eating breakfast on the patio listening to the fountain. Such a lovely, comfortable interior and upscale amenities. We gathered each night and watched movies, and loved reading the books about St. John. Morning coffee on the balcony, evening drinks and sunset in the lookout. Large soaking tub for relaxation. Location is great for groceries. Street and neighboring residences are very nice- home is not gated. Each guest bedroom is in own unit, the lower unit has a strong earthy smell and needs ventilation, stronger dehumidifier and an air purifier. Tommy met us at the dock and led the way to our villa then showed us around the property. Photos of this property are a perfect representation of what we found. Main building is spacious and comfortable for our party of 6\. All bedrooms are a short walk outside. Grounds are immaculate and lush and feature crabs, lizards and a very friendly iguana! My only minus is that you can't see the water from the pool deck or patio because the vegetation is so prolific. A trip up to the crow's nest gives you a great view of sunset, however, and we spent many evenings up there. Villa is a convenient 10-15 minute drive to Cruz Bay. Overall, had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this villa as a great getaway for groups and families with older children. ##### Kerri C. The home is beautiful and the location to town and grocery is great. The bedrooms are all large and the furnishings comfortable. The house manager Tommy is great and responsive. We were hearing more than normal air coming from the plumbing and contacted him. He came immediately and checked the cisterns and switched them over. The pool is very private because of all the grown in vegetation. Because if the growth and the position on the island there is no view from the pool level. The views from the main floor level are peek-a-boo shots of the water, few and far between. The views from the upper level bedrooms is better, but the crows nest view is AMAZING! Sunsets here are a must. The huge downside to this property, due to no fault of the owners, is the huge monstrosity of construction going on less than 100 yards in front of the property. Beginning some mornings as early as 6.40am, there were jackhammers, bull dozers raking and loading the broken rocks into dump trucks and the trucks pulling in and out. The noise was constant until about 5pm. So unless you plan on leaving every day but Sunday, and being out all day, it is headache inducing. The conversations, sight instructions, and music that goes on with a construction sight was also loud. I feel for the owners with this issue. Before you rent this porperty, check with the reviews of this property and others near it, to see if the construction is done. But the house is beautiful. ##### Cristi P. We are a group of 8 adults and 1 5 year old and the house was just perfect for hanging out, cooking together, playing games as night and watching an amazing sunset every evening. We did have problems daily with no water, no gas, no propane and sewer backups/smells. Not sure what or where the problems stemmed from BUT the management was very responsive and took care of everything everytime. The drive to town was only about 10 minutes and a grocery store very well stocked only 5 minutes away. The house had everything we could want for.and was very clean and well kept. The air conditioning worked amazing!!!! We will be back!!! ##### Linda D. I could not recommend this villa more. Robert referred us to a concierge who stocked the fridge for us beforehand and who we used to book a day of sailing / snorkeling. Upon arrival, we were met by the property manager, Tommy, who gave us a tour and overview of the villa. Tommy was incredibly welcoming and responsive during the whole trip. The villa is absolutely beautiful. There are 3 separate buildings so everyone had their privacy if they wanted. The views are unbelievable - we loved the Crows Nest at the top and it was a bonus this villa is situated on the sunset side of St. John. Every night was filled with happy hour drinks and food overlooking the beautiful sunset. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the supplies you could need - with COVID we were trying to be cautious and only ate out once. The pool is was great to cool off, especially since the yard gets a lot of sun during the day! Great for tanning, and if you don't want to tan there are plenty of places with shade. It is perfect for everyone. Great set up and amazing vacation. I would stay here again in a heartbeat - no one wanted to leave! ##### Abbie W. The villa is stunning. Pictures do not do it justice. Built of stucco and stone, the villa is beautifully designed with many architectural details. Each of our bedrooms was in a separate building so there was plenty of privacy. Each couple had their own covered balcony with a ceiling fan and comfortable seating. We enjoyed preparing meals on the Viking stove in the large fully equipped kitchen; even the pot and pans were top quality.The climate is perfect for outdoor dining so though the dining room is lovely, we ate most of our meals at the round table on the veranda. The villa is ideally sited to take advantage of the gentle ocean breeze. And how to choose where to relax and enjoy the matchless weather? We had our choice of the cushioned chairs on the covered veranda, the fully adjustable lounge chairs beside the pool, or the 3rd story crows nest which is the perfect spot to watch the sun set over the water. The villa was immaculate. The landscaping and the pool are beautiful. The beds are comfortable and we had an ample supply of towels. The outdoor showers are a delight. There are beach towels, beach chairs, and coolers to take on expeditions to the beach. The villa surpassed our expectations in every way. We could not have been happier. ##### Russ R. This review was submitted before 2018 and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent 19 May 2015 #### A Week in Paradise We had an absolutely wonderful vacation with friends and family at Las Brisas Caribe in mid-January. The villa is spacious and beautifully laid out - a great spot to enjoy Caribbean days and nights. During the day we visited the lovely beaches, sailed, snorkeled and explored the island. Then we came back to our luxurious accomodations. We swam in the pool and had 'happy hours' in the Crow's Nest looking out on Cruz Bay at the magnificent sunsets. We cooked dinner on the grill or went to one of the many first-rate restaurants on the island. We called it 'paradise'...a super week. This review was submitted before 2018 and has not been verified. ### 2/10 Terrible 7 May 2015 #### Beware--Construction Site and Bad Smells We just stayed here and you should be forewarned that there is a huge house immediately in front of the villa that is under construction and the work starts at 6:30 am and goes all day long including Saturday--you can't sleep in and forget the afternoon nap. Also, the house smells terrible --like a combination of raw sewage and moth balls. ---
