Monteview Unit B is a beautiful condo for your St. John, USVI getaway. This spacious unit has vaulted ceilings, is fully air conditioned, and boast 2 full bathrooms & a full service kitchen that flows into the open dining and living room areas. There is a covered outdoor balcony and an expansive deck & pool area, perfect for watching spectacular views of the sun setting behind St. Thomas and the beautiful blue Caribbean Sea. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and private balcony with amazing views of the surrounding islands and beautiful blue waters. The 2nd bedroom has its own main porch access and the same captivating view. There is a fully stocked kitchen, and parking right outside the front door. For stays of 7 days or more, there is a washer/dryer available for and additional fee. The apartment is very convenient to Cruz Bay, less than 10 minute drive from town, right on the main road, but private. Nice easy, level parking right in front. Nice BBQ grill and large washer/dryer outside the apartment.The apartment has a gorgeous western view. Overall comfortable. The beds, deck furniture and couch all cozy. Lots of beach towels, beach chairs and cooler. Pool area nice. Dependable internet service.But considering the cost (the most we've ever paid for that size apartment), we expected a higher quality feel and a better equipped and stocked kitchen. Pretty much anything you want you'll need to buy (napkins, tin foil, basic condiments like sugar, etc.). Essential cooking stuff is supplied, but missing some basics like a colander, BBQ grill tools. Only a few containers to store leftovers. Tamika was an exceptionally friendly and responsive host, on top of all the property’s other amenities. And, as nice as the pictures are, they fail to convey just how much room and privacy the guests are afforded. Then you start thinking about the location - it’s right on a main road but oriented such that the traffic is a complete afterthought to your experience. The parking lot is large and easy to operate in. You’re 10 minutes from town but also well off the normal tourist routes. It’s truly got a LOT more going for it than the description points out.St John can be challenging to get to and challenging to navigate, but if this place is available there really should be nothing challenging about the decision to scoop it up.
