Not ideal sorry.
Nice cottage. The settees were very uncomfortable. Very low to the ground.Being partially disabled my husband drove 9 hrs to home and back on Christmas Day to get me a chair so I could be comfortable. Garden all open so not ideal.. listing states there is a hot tub which we never did find. There was a dvd player which was in the drawer but couldn’t be played.

A fabulous pet friendly cottage in a peaceful location surrounded by fantastic countryside walks. Only a miles to St Ives and Penzance. Penzance Sainsbury’s is a short walk from a lovely beach and( for electric car users) you can charge for free. The locality has many historic sites, castles and numerous areas of outstanding natural beauty. Once you’ve been to the Milking parlour in Trowednack you’ll want to go again.

Lovely cottage in the countryside. Great amenities and everything you could need. Milk, coffee, tea and bread would be lovely on arrival as it is a bit away from a supermarket and it would be nice to have a drink before exploring the area. Other than that we had a fantastic stay and would recommend it highly. Great communication with owner who recommended places to visit and eat 😄

Fab! Photos do not do it justice!
We had a lovely long weekend here with my partner, parents and in-laws. The house is set up for 6 adults, with a well-equipped kitchen, and large living room - we could have stayed for a week without getting under each other's feet. Comfy beds, two great bathrooms, two patios, bbq, nice country walks with ocean views. You will need to drive or cycle in to St Ives, but we enjoyed being away from the busy town centre.

Ideal Holiday for Dogs & their Humans 😏
We wanted a holiday dog friendly property for my partner & I plus 2 large dogs & space to host our daughter & family for a day visit. The Milking Palour was ideal for space for all. The courtyard area totally secure with gates for the dogs, or further space out front secure if we were with them, if smaller dogs then you would be fine as there are gates to close across the driveway. The views are lovely & open on the front where you can sit & enjoy. There is also good walk just up the road you can get onto the hills. The property is spacious, the lounge has beautiful large window. All crockery & cutlery & cooking dishes you could need, I cooked for 7 & no issues. The dogs enjoyed their holiday & loved going from one garden area to the other. Heating works very well if needed as did showers, one is also over a nice bath. Ensuite wet room spacious as is main bedroom. A very comfortable home feel to the property. Would visit again. Though it feels remote it is not, nearest Tesco Superstore was only 10 mins drive in Carbis Bay. The host answered all my questions on email very promptly & was very informative. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Peaceful Week
Booked for 4 adults and 3 medium dogs, accommodation was perfectly sized with plenty of space throughout. Location fabulous, peace and quiet but minutes away from main road into St Ives, Penzance etc. Kitchen well stocked with equipment, 2 bathrooms both with lovely showers and a good supply of towels. Fabulous private back yard area (especially if you have dogs) with 3 doors to the area from the property. All in all a lovely week - we will definately be back.

Lovely Cottage
Lovely spot to spend the week (despite the best efforts of the weather) Its a really nice cottage with comfy beds and a good kitchen. Would have been perfect if there had been a pint of milk and some condiments provided - so plan ahead before you arrive. Also no information about local places to eat/visit etc which again would have been really helpful as it is (beautifully) tucked away from everywhere.

Perfect week in the Milking Parlour
Great week in the Milking Parlour. Lovely barn, beautifully converted to make excellent accommodation. Perfect for the pooch with the enclosed yard. Sadly weather didn't give any opportunities to use the two terraces but we did manage lots of lovely coastal walks between the showers and great to come back to a lovely warming log fire. Well equipped and very comfortable.

Amazing setting
This cottage is like nowhere we have stayed before in feeling very rural and in beautiful countryside but very convenient for a town. You can walk for five minutes and be on a tor looking at both coasts. The cottage is very comfortable and spacious for two adults and a toddler. The quality of the appliances and fittings is higher than often found in holiday rentals and a nice big tv for rainy days.

Lovely property: 8/10 experience
Pros: lovely helpful owners, accurate images, excellent communication, small issues with furniture rectified with speed and professionalism, lots of towels available, quiet area, good internet, and finally, if you love icecream, a super tasty random icecream stall just over 5 min drive away located on a country road- freshly made on their farm called ‘moomaid in the field’ on the b3006 - amazing flavours- a MUST if you like icecream. They also have a few I cream cafes around the area too. Cons: biggest con were the sofas. They are old, very uncomfortable (overly sunken and soft) with zero support, cushions constantly moving around and coming out of place, scratched up, unclean looking/ feeling and generally need replacing. We kept them covered so that helped because luckily owners provided lots of throws which hugely helped as my mum refused to sit on them initially but once covered over she was happier to use them. Floors are in need of a deep clean. So although cleaners clearly came and cleaned everywhere (you could see water marks from the mop), the floors had been done ‘superficially’ so all kids socks were brown after an hour of running around (we do not ever wear shoes indoors) so it was not dirt bought in by us. The bedrooms were a little cool for us, difficult to get toasty (we are used to a very warm house though), wet room in main bedroom runs out of warm water easily if you have a large group staying (we had 4adults, 3 children) but electric shower in family bathroom remains warm and fine. Parking on the drive not easy if you have a large car (we reversed parked our Range Rover, but it was very tight to do so- just a few cm on either side each time we were in or out, so if you have a wide car like ours, you might struggle. Beds in the single rooms were a little uncomfortable 6/10 but master was good 8/10 and the pull down bed in the living room was manageable 6/10. We did a family vote and calculated a rating. Overall rating is 8/10. The thing we were most happy about was with the owners (this is always so important for us) and would return again if the sofas got upgraded. 👍🏽

Nice big property with plenty of room in a quiet location but within a miles walk of the coastal path and 5 minute drive to St Ives. Only slight drawback was the lack of a tumble dryer - unfortunately the Cornish sun did not appear enough to do the job! Otherwise the perfect spot to explore west Cornwall from.

We had an amazing time at the Milking Parlour. Such a peaceful setting with amazing views! Really well equipped & clean. Ideal for us being all on one level & great to stay in a place where the twin beds are suitable for adults. Whole family + dogs really enjoyed our stay. Good place to recharge your batteries. Thoroughly recommend this place, would love to book again!

Great place to stay - with 1 drawback
It was our second stay in the Milking Parlour and we really enjoyed it. The location is close to St Ives yet very quiet. The house itself is very beautiful. However, compared to our first stay, the cleanliness was not the same level. It was not thoroughly cleaned - we found used cleaning towels in the drawer and it appeared not to be cleaned for some time as there were quite some flies in the house and we had to clean up the kitchen. I still recommend the Milking Parlour, it is a lovely place to stay and when the level of cleanliness is again on the same level that we experienced 2 years ago there is absolutely nothing to complain about.
