TROUT Steps to beach. Lovely two bedroom with screened porch and pool.

  • This is a very nice downstairs cottage facing the beach. Great screened porch facing the water. Walk across the beach access path just twenty yards from the driveway to fish or sunbathe at the prettiest beaches in the state! Rinse off in our pool just outside. Perfect for one or two couples or a small family. Pets welcome.

    Trout is certainly a bargain and a favorite of many couples who return again and again. Recently remodeled and updated (photos Feb 2026). Beach access. Lovely two bedroom w/ screened porch and pool. Beach wagon, canopy sun-shade and folding beach chairs on site for guest use. High-speed internet. Pool is shared two other units on the property: "Redfish" and "Pompano."

The location was wonderful, just a few steps to the beach. Wonderful supplies to stay at the beach all day. The place was very clean. Looks to be newly remodeled. We did have a little issue, but the owner made it right. wouldefinitely stay here again

Great location! Right across street from beach access. Space was perfect for 2 adults. Very clean and comfortable bed. Pool area was great, but weather was too cool to swim. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.

Relaxing getaway

What a wonderful five day getaway we had! Trout had everything we needed, and we appreciated how clean it was. The property sold a few days before our stay, and Brandon, the new owner, was great to keep up updated. This is a place we will return to in the future!

Although we had to evacuate due to Helene mid-week, had a great time at Trout! Ready and clean when we arrived and had all the necessities for a relaxing stay. Pool on-site was nice and easy access to beach across the street. Just wish we had been able to stay our full booking. Host took care of us and we plan on going back.

Perfect Stay on SGI

Trout was exactly as advertised and perfect for a small family like us (2 adults 1 Child). You can’t beat the price. Easy access to the beach directly across the street. Close to everything the island has to offer. The beach accessories, specifically the beach wagon that was provided was clutch!

So close to the beach!

We enjoyed our week-long stay in the Trout unit. We were maybe 100 yards from the beach. The house was comfortable and clean. I found the bed in the back bedroom to be too firm for me, but the bed in the front bedroom was very comfortable (Goldilocks syndrome?). The screen porch was nice on warmer days. Great visit.

Beach House

Unfortunately, we got to St. George Island the day before hurricane Debby was projected to hit the island. We only got to stay one night in the unit before we were evacuated. The unit was very nice, clean and airy. I would definitely visit the island again, before or after hurricane season and stay here. It was very close to the beach with easy onsite parking.

Fish On!

Reserved the Trout six days before check in. Had a little mix up getting the door code to enter premises but other than the unit was clean, well supplied and the extra's (beach cart, chairs, umbrella) were all new and an added plus. The owner Brandon responded very quickly when we had questions. Will be back.

Much needed relaxation

Cute older unit in a triplex. Very adequate for our needs at a reasonable price. Could use some basic amenities in the kitchen. Bathroom sink didn't want to drain but that certainly was not going to ruin my vacation. Properly sold recently so i am sure new owner will be doing some updates. Loved the pool, screened porch and being close to the beach. Thanks for the stay at Pineapple Cottages.

Nice Getaway

This was a nice property for our family of three. It was clean, the kitchen was stocked enough you could cook if you don't want to go out, the screened in porch was wonderful. It was close to the beach but no longer has a beach view since someone built across the street. The extras provided for the host were great. An umbrella, beach cart, chairs, kayak. The pool was a nice way to relax if you wanted a break from the sand and was clean. You can tell the owners are putting a lot of effort into the property and were quick to respond to our couple of questions. We'll definitely be back.

August Anniversary Getaway

The location was perfect across the street from the water. The unit was clean, as were all the linens and housewares. The screened in porch was perfect for our two small dogs to come into and be wiped off. The neighborhood was quiet. The rooms were spacious. The pool and pool area was clean. The only concern was you could hear and feel the people walking around in the second floor apartment. But not complaining just observing. They were great people. Enjoyed our time there and would recommend to anyone.

Fall beach trip

Great location for easy beach access at a non- ocean front price. I’ve stayed ocean front with further walk to beach before. Perfect size for 2 adults and dogs (plus medium & large dog crates). Host is awesome to work with. Rent his golf cart if available: best way to cruise the island!!

Very Nice Stay

Loved staying at Trout and the unit was as advertised. Easy walk across the street to the beach and we appreciated being able to have our dogs with us. Comfy stay and good value.
