The Space:

At the Secret Garden Hideaway, you'll find the perfect place to relax while visiting the Oldest City. This historic home was built in 1900 and perfectly restored with modern finishes. You'll have no problems making this your "home away from home"!

Guest Access:

Guests have private access to the entire 4 bedroom home, fenced in outdoor area, as well as free Wi-Fi, free parking with 2 designated off-street parking spots, and smart TV in the living room.



The Area:

St. Augustine is the nation’s most historic city and also holds the distinction of being one of the most charming. Experience flavourful dining, art and culture with an abundance of entertainment right on your doorstep.



Sun, fun, history, and mystery —From the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument to the Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum and everything in between there is something for everyone and all just a few minutes from the flat.



The home is located right in the heart of Uptown St Augustine just a few minutes’ walk from the high street known for boutique shops, art galleries, antique stores, as well as local eateries from pizza to fine dining. Our favourite local coffee shop the Coffee House Realty Cafe is only a few minutes walk from the home!



Head south along San Marco Ave where you will find all sorts of innovative food and drink options, cool indie shops selling everything from furniture to flowers, books, ice cream, cupcakes, art and then wind up in the city centre Historic District (15 min walk) which is a whole other adventure.



Those who appreciate architecture from the 1800s to the 1920s will want to walk through a number of small areas listed on the National Register of Historic Places. These include the Abbott Tract Historic District, Matanzas Bay, Pine, San Marco, Shenandoah Aves and the Nelmar Terrace Historic District.



Jump aboard the Trolley to see the city, or hire a bike and take your time soaking up each area, museum and monument.



Getting Around:

The Secret Garden Hideaway is in short walking distance to all things city centre so you can park your car and leave the keys at home!



Driving to the beach is less than a 10 minute drive.



Guests can also use rideshare apps like Uber and Lyft or call a taxi with cars available at all times of the day.



Once in the city centre, many of St. Augustine's shops, restaurants, art galleries and attractions sit within the historic city centre, making it easy to get around on foot.



The old Town Trolley Tours and a great fun way to see the city with a hop-on, hop-off trolley service that offers stops throughout St. Augustine. The trolley makes 23 stops at or near popular destinations and departs every 15 minutes between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The trolley choices up right down the street at the Trolley Welcome Centre.

** Please note that the unattached garage is not included in the rental and will be locked off to guests.



BRINGING YOUR DOG?

We’re happy to welcome one dog weighing 50 pounds or less at this home! After booking, you can register your dog and pay the non-refundable pet fee right in your Guest Portal. Please complete both steps before check-in so everything is ready for your pup’s arrival.

Have a question about bringing a second dog or a dog over 50 pounds? Please message us before booking. Some homes may allow an exception, but we must confirm it before the reservation is made. Once booked, we cannot make exceptions to the number or size of dogs.

Dogs must be at least one year old, up to date on vaccinations, and fully house-trained. Please supervise your dog and clean up after them during your stay. You’ll find the full pet guidelines in your Guest Portal.



GUEST PORTAL & GUEST PROTECTION PROGRAM

We want everything you need for a wonderful stay to be easy to find! After booking, we’ll send you a link to your Guest Portal—your one-stop spot for details about the home, helpful tips for your stay, and check-in and check-out instructions.

To help protect both our guests and our homes, we ask everyone to complete a few simple steps in the portal before arrival: verify their information, review and electronically sign the Rental Agreement, and choose one of two protection options:

• Damage Waiver: A small, non-refundable fee that covers eligible accidental damage during your stay.

• Security Deposit: A refundable deposit hold that’s released after checkout, provided there is no damage or violation of the house rules.
