SPACE SECTION Take the stairs up to the top penthouse floor of this beautiful treehouse style home filled with charm and a rich artistic history with famous books and songs once written within its walls and paintings created of its stunning, ever changing scenery. Make your way inside the charming, sun-filled home where you are greeted with spacious open-plain living filled with gallery style décor, beautiful exposed beams and uninterrupted, panoramic views out to the ocean. Relax on the plush antique style sofa while you catch up on all your favorite shows on the wall mounted Smart TV’s loaded with movies for when the sun goes down. The modern kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you could need to cook up a decadent breakfast through to a delicious dinner. There is a full-size fridge/freezer, a freestanding oven and cooktop, a microwave a butlers sink, and a coffee maker to start your day right. NEIGHBORHOOD The house is located along a rare stretch of beach on one of the last untouched inlets on the east coast just south of Crescent Beach and is the home of Fort Matanzas, the Matanzas National Seashore - a beautiful National Park. It sits directly on Atlantic Ocean, but you can also see the Matanzas River, and the Intracoastal waterway. Since the house sits on this largely untouched area, the wildlife is amazing. Depending on the time of year Sea Turtles, Dolphins, and Manatees can be seen within the 25 miles of undeveloped state owned natural habitat. The pristine water is one of the most unpolluted water areas in the state of Florida which brings fisherman and birders from all over to the beautiful sanctuary areas making it a truly unique place to stay. If you like to cycle you are only a few miles from some of the best mountain biking trails and miles and miles of mostly shaded paved trails to explore. Just under 14 miles away is the charming city of St. Augustine that offers unique scenery and history that sets the city apart from any other in the country. Incredible views from the living area and east facing balcony was perfect to sit and watch the waves in the evenings without melting from the heat. We travel with our two Labradors and the pet friendly room and beach were a great find. The semi-private beach was great and everyone there was very respectful of each other while exercising their pets. Only hiccup we had was we couldn't not seem to get the lock box open to get our key at check-in. Luckily the downstairs tenants were able to contact the host to let him know and he was able to help identify that we were given the wrong code and provided the correct code for our key. From the moment you arrive and walk in to the penthouse it’s stunning. Absolutely beautiful view from every spot in the house. We loved it and were very depressed to leave such beauty and come back to St. Louis which noes not look like we were. My only complaint was we didn’t have enough dishes or stuff to do seafood so I had to buy everything for my crab legs. We ate there a lot though because we had our dog and enjoyed cooking and eating on the deck watching the beautiful view. You won’t be disappointed if you rent this spot. The pictures are beautiful but they barely capture the experience. Wonderful host and amenities and the location is perfect. Highly recommend. ##### Morgan C. Always something fun to look at. Well appointed. Location is, of course, the real highlight! This beach is fabulous. Very few people on it on any given day. It was pretty quiet as well. The only (and this is picky!) improvement I could see was a better listing of what amenities were available with the home. Such as the washer/dryer. Bring your own beach chairs etc but the owners were very responsive to all of my questions. I will book again. ##### Robin M.
