The Neighborhood: St. Augustine is the nation’s most historic city and also holds the distinction of being one of the nation’s most charming. Experience old-world charm, flavorful dining, art and culture, and an abundance of entertainment during the day and after dark. Sun, fun, history, and mystery —From the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument to the Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum and everything in between there is something for all ages, an ideal locale for family fun and adventure. This top location is right in the heart of the historic Fullerwood neighborhood of Uptown St. Augustine and is only a short 5 minute drive into the city center with its abundance of restaurants, bars and boutique shopping. Vilano Beach, one of St. Augustine's most popular beaches is also only a few minutes drive away! Getting Around: The best way to get around St. Augustine is with your own car or in a rental with coveted free parking included with your stay. Rent bikes from local vendor, Drifter's, to enjoy the Florida weather while seeing the city. Guests can also use rideshare apps like Uber and Lyft or call a taxi with cars available at all times of the day. Once in the city center, many of St. Augustine's shops, restaurants, art galleries and attractions sit within the historic city center, making it easy to get around on foot. The old Town Trolley Tours and a great fun way to see the city with a hop-on, hop-off trolley service that offers stops throughout St. Augustine. The trolley makes 23 stops at or near popular destinations and departs every 15 minutes between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. an includes complimentary admission to the St. Augustine History Museum. The home was delightful to stay in…was more than expected. The house was immaculate and the kitchen well stocked …cannot say anything that was an issue. The pictures don’t do it justice. The location is awesome! We went just about everywhere on our bikes. It’s in a nice quiet neighborhood. Great for walking my dog. And a good fenced-in backyard. It was clean and nicely decorated. The neighborhood was quiet and was in a great location. Only two complaints were that when using the washing machine it was very loud and couldn’t be used while people were sleeping in the primary bedroom. I wish check in was earlier. Our children and families from Sarasota and Ft Lauderdale joined. All interactions with the host were very timely and clear. The house was perfect and met the exact descriptions provided. Really beautifully presented, main bedroom is a stunner (nicked a few decor ideas for our own home). Ideally located in a quiet, genteel and (relatively) historical residential area, well worth a stroll around. We walked into the beautiful town centre (20 mins) which told their remarkable and centuries old story very well. Lots of buzz for a small town with a great choice of bars and restaurants. Lots of art, shops and tourist attractions. Also enjoyed what Anastasia Island had to offer, especially the stunning beach and state park. Thoroughly recommend this property.
