The location was alright,about 15 minutes from St Augustine. The condo had something’s that needed fixed like the bench and table that was poolside it was all rusted and couldn’t be sit on, the tile floor in the kitchen area was broke and the pots and pans were old and stained

We are sorry you felt you needed to leave a low star rating for this nice well well-priced oceanfront property. There is other poolside seating for use and the bench will be removed. The tile has a few cracks but it is not "broke". We also were disappointed that you disrespected the property by not following the simple house rules. This is great condo and only one of a handful of units that has direct pool deck access.

Great Location
Loved the location! Stayed at Beachers last year but not poolside and right at the beach. Everything in the condo was as described in the listing and was clean & comfortable! Dog friendly restaurant s were nearby. Would definitely stay here again!

I have stayed at Beachers lodge before but not poolside. I loved the access to the pool right off the room. Could of used a really good deep clean but all in all I really enjoyed it. Bed was comfy and plenty of room to move around. Close to restaurants and the ice cream shop which we went every night! Will be back!

It was a great place ! The pool closes at 8 PM, which is both good and bad; The air conditioners are loud, but aren't they always ? Little things like the ceiling fan chain was missing so I couldn't turn it off, the light in the fan in the bedroom was burnt out, and I had no idea how to replace it, and looked like a non-standard bulb anyway; and towels aren't included, there isn't a money changer in the laundry and being a holiday, the banks were closed so we had to make do with one set of towels for a week. Other than that, a great place to stay !

Wonderful location and being on pool deck is perfect for kids. Good restaurants nearby and the best pizza right across the street! Bring your own toilet paper, trash bags and extra towels as the hotel does not supply the room, you only have what's in the unit when you arrive.

Room not very clean.
For the price that is charged for cleaning, the room was not very clean. They even left out used bar soap on the soap dishes. I guess for us to reuse. Which is very unsanitary. You should not be doing that before Covid but specially not now. The extra blankets left to be used did not smell clean either and they towels and wash rags were all stained up. It is a bit ridiculous they close the pool do early too. Other than that we love staying at beaches lodge.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry about the housekeeping short-falls. We would have sent housekeeping back immediately to remove the open soap and rewash the blankets. The towels and wash rags have been replaced. We are glad you loved staying here! We love it too!

Nice location
Nice location, small older condo for 2 or couple and child, place has everything you need but is no lush hotel which is fine by me, everything worked and was clean, the privacy with location on pool deck might be a problem for some but i left the curtain open in days to enjoy the sunshine and wasnt a problem, a sheer for the sliding door would be a nice addition, or you could bring one and use tacks or tape, the curtain is a blackout one and if closed during day its dark and depressing so let the sun shine in )

Needs a good cleaning. Patio door lock is broken with a pole to keep it closed.
Ok to stay just a week but we stayed a month. Not enjoyable. The washer near us was broke the whole time we were there. We ended up finding a laundromat.

Thank you for your feedback. The condo association was waiting for parts to fix the nearby washer. Sorry it was not working. There are other washers on different floors. This is a well-priced ocean front condo in a great location.

DO NOT RENT
We rented for 5 nights. Out of the 5 nights 3 the ac wall unit in the living room did NOT work, this is the area where the sofa bed is located. The wall unit in the MB had to over compensate for the other unit that didn't help at all and would stop working. We contacted Mgmt and were told someone would be out to look at the unit. Noone contacted us to notify that they had looked at the same. When I called the emergency number we were told that the unit would need to be replaced and it won't be done until after our stay. I tried calling Sandy several times once the office opened on Monday and she told me she would call me back, that never happened. I called again from a different phone number and spoke with Marty, utterly rude individual, who told us we needed to wait for them to investigate and that the unit is currently not being rented due to the building being remodeled. After all this he gave me the wrong email address for him and all. Again tried contacting them to see what resolution can be done, AGAIN DODGING my phone calls had to call from my office number for them to answer. Their solution was 1/3 reimbursement of one night's stay. They didn't care that one of us was sleeping in a room hotter than 78 at night due to their negligence. Beware if you decide to rent. We didn't even complain of the musty smell and crust carpet in the master bedroom. Would never rent from them again and will inform BBB.

Sorry you felt you needed to leave a one-star review. The people near you were also unhappy that you left your dog barking uncontrollably while you were out. We received complaints about the barking the first day of your stay. You started complaining after that. This poplar poolside unit is well liked, so we were surprised you were unhappy. The previous guest did not have any A/C issues, so we did check both A/C units after you left and guess what they both worked fine. We were not rude, we were just not able to give you what you wanted when they were no inconveniences.

The unit is nice enough. Very close to the beach and the pool, so lots of foot traffic by your patio door. The pool was cleaned every day. Would definitely consider staying here again. Maybe in the off season too.

Crescent Beach is Beautiful
The location is great was wonderful being close to the pool and great views lovely stretch of beach. Ample bedding very small rooms definitely not comfortable for more than two adults. Also not spacious for larger body-types. It was perfectly acceptable for us as we wanted to be out most of the time.

The ever flowing water
The toilet ran 24/7, no one could fix it without us not having use of a toilet. There were no other units available. There were no hotels with vacancies. Toilet lid closed, bathroom door closed, TV and air turned on……. Yep, still could here the toilet running. We were unable to sleep for 8 nights! A measly $100 refund. The people before us had to have noticed, even the cleaning crew had to have noticed. We should never have been put in a unit that had that problem. Along with the fact that we could t get in touch with anyone from Friday until Monday morning, there was no emergency contact number for nights or weekends. I sent an email Saturday and still had to all Monday morning to talk to someone about the issue. We left so that someone could come to supposedly fix the problem, when we got back, toilet still running No one called to inform us that anyone had been there, so we had to call to find out that……wait for it……the toilet will be running for the entirety of your vacation! Nope, big ol’ fat ZERO!!!! This is a high turnover low response company, with no compassion for the vacationers.

We are sorry for any inconvenience you encountered. There was a major slab leak during your stay. We do have an emergency phone line that is manned 24/7. We had no record of a call from you. Once we found out the repair could not be made during your stay, we offered you a refund so you could leave, but you said you would stay and keep the door closed. You also agreed to a $100 credit. We are not a low response company and quickly respond to phone calls and emails. The slab leak was fixed promptly after you left.

Pros & Cons
Pros: The view was great and it was a short walk to the beach.! The property was available when others were booked up. Check in was easy and it had keyless entry. Cons: The biggest cons are the unwelcome surprises. Follow this to avoid them and make a decision on if this property is for you. First, the property was listed at $xxx per night but after fees, including a large surprise fee that came directly from VBRO the room totaled $xxx per night (VBRO would not post my review with specific pricing but it doubled after fees). In hind sight I would have preferred to stay at a nice hotel on a near by beach. Next, the contract, make sure you request it BEFORE you submit your payment, which is non-refundable. It is a few pages long and has some odd items in it such as unannounced inspections, and things not to do or else you will be charged more fees. This should be part of your decision on if this is the property for you. Finally, the facility feels old and the neighborhood is low income.

We were happy with the property. We were on ground floor at pool and were impressed with the pool worker. The pool was spotless. All workers we talked to throughout the property were friendly. Loved the dog walk.

Beachers Resort 105
Nice location, great beach. Overall the condo was nice and we may consider renting there again, but a few issues need to be addressed. Ground floor condo required climbing several stairs. The back patio door is in need of maintenance, it's extremely hard to open and doesn't lock. A small person has to use 2 hands and a lot of strength to open it. The handles, especially on the outside, need maintenance as well. We could only use the bedroom ceiling fan, because the living room fan was terribly filthy and we didn't want that dirt/ dust thrown on us. Every dish that we used had food residue on them, so we had to wash everything before use. Rules prohibit having any items left on the patio/ balcony area but there were several items already there.

Disappointing
Firstly, the location and the overall property grounds were great. Individually, the condo was very dated. It was not child proofed. Wires were not affixed to the walls. Holes in both sets of curtains. Cheap furniture. The stove was accessible for the baby to turn on. No child proof locks on the cabinets. The bedroom door closed automatically and can trap little fingers. The sliding glass door was really old and stiff. The outside patio furniture consisted of a rusty mental bench (dangerous for children) and a wicker high table. The umbrella equipment was broken. There were no trash bags, dish soap and extra toilet rolls. There was only a half used cheap roll of paper towels. There were no change of sheets and not enough towels. The blankets smelled musty as if they were not washed from the last load of visitors. The bed was dated and way too big for the room. There was no room to even put a suitcase on the floor. The tiles were very slick and the bathtub was also slick. These people are making a grand a week and cannot even spruce the place up so kids aren’t putting fingers through the holes in the curtains. The condo is tiny. The only reason it got 3 stars was because pf the heated pool, the location of the beach and amazingly enough, the building is very soundproofed. Oh- I tried to clean up with the vacuum and it was so dated it barely worked , along with their very dated broom with frayed bristles. Personally, I would be embarrassed to rent it out in the condition it is in at the moment- and that is coming from a landlord myself.

Location was perfect - right outside the door was the pool. Perfect if you love kiddos. Only Complaint is the haul for getting your stuff down to the beach .... if you have a wagon there are some steep steps you have to take down to get to the beach. But once there it was awesome! Wish we could have stayed longer!

Just not comfortable with property
Perhaps it was the rainy night or the blinking light in the dark hallway to the room door. Perhaps it was the layout or the patio door that really needs to be replaced. Perhaps it was just us. this is a low budget set up. We chose not to stay and went to a hotel.

Hotel wasn’t the best
The room was nice and clean but small and the check in process was very easy. If you are looking to have a good time and be able to swim past 7pm do not stay here. This hotel has way too many rules and the pool guy was very rude. Also if you are a smoker you can’t smoke on your balcony. It was not a very inviting experience solely because of the hotel, although the room was very nice.

Sorry you felt that you needed to leave a 2 star review. Sounds like you enjoyed the condo but not the rules set fourth by the complex. There are designated smoking areas and smoking is not allowed on the balconies as it disturbs neighboring guests. The pool's hours may have been shortened do to Covid. It sounds like staying at a private home may be a better choice for you in the future.

Great location
Super location just steps from beach right next to pool. Not much privacy but the ease of getting to beach and pool might make up for it. No frills room with not much space for an extended stay. Need more light in this particular space so curtains don't HAVE to be open during day. Crescent beach is uncrowded and probably the best beach in area. Highly recommend this area. As for this particular room, if you have small kids that want to play in pool BOOK it. If you want even a little privacy, choose a different room. Personally for us the location made up for lack of privacy.

The apartment was fine for the most part. The two AC units worked reasonably well during an extraordinarily hot and humid week. The dehumidifier in the kitchen living space worked well. We have experience using one so we knew to empty the tank which filled every 12 hours. Some instructions would be best for others who rent this apartment. An additional unit in the bedroom should also be considered. The kitchenette needs a dish drainer considering that the owner requests all dishes to be cleaned and put away, yet there was only a drain pad under the sink. No dish towels or rags provided, including no paper towels, made the task not easy so we purchased our own. There was also no additional supply of toilet paper for a week's stay. The apartment does have pool access which is ideal for a family with small children. In the future we will choose a property that is at least 2nd or 3rd floor for a better view of the beach and more privacy. Overall we made it work but it did lack some opportunities for a better experience. Thanks.

2week stay beach front uncrowded area
Excellent location . Friendly staff all around friendly atmosphere with good beach access. And appears good property maintenance Our unit was clean and well maintained .. privately owned with great response to inquiries from John the maintenance/ cleaning guy who was also very helpful with general questions about area .. we were greeted by a note and welcoming snack of soft drinks and snack very nice touch.He treated the property like it was his own place. On personal note unit was a bit small for our needs 418 sq feet adequate but challenging for our 2 week stay .. ... that was on me I should have paid more attention when I booked unit was adequately equipped with kitchen items but really missed dishwasher and in unit washer and dryer . There is a coin operated washer and a dryer on each end of building . I like to cook some of our meals and did but felt confined in space with some challenges with storage of groceries we managed but minimalist needs to be kept in mind. Pool view unit was convenient but if you are more private person a non first floor pool view would be better. We like keeping patio door drape open during day but that also limits privacy while pool in use . We did look at larger about 600 sq foot unit before we left and would definitely consider for future possible stay. All in all great vacation site with beautiful clean pool area and access to peaceful beach.. Easy trip to stores , church and downtown Old St Augustine with its charm and large varieties of Resturant s in town and on way to downtown.

Didnt have full disclosure on no smoking policy. Table had only 2 chairs, even though picture and description said 4. AC unit in living room needs some TLC...we had to keep shutting it off to get it to work. Tub was very slippery. It was great to be right next to the pool. The pool closed super early at 515pm. Overall...I would come back for sure....good location, great price, better than a hotel.

Thanks for your review and feedback. Smoking within the complex is allowed in designated areas but not on the balcony or inside the unit. We have not had any issues with the a/c however I will have it looked at. If there is daylight the pool is open, and we are glad that you liked it proximity to the unit.
