"A reasonable road-stop motel when making a long drive from Canada or from the south. Good dining in the Augusta area and closely located to the motel. 'Continental' breakfast clearly referred to some continent that man is not aware of. Otherwise, rooms are clean and functional with some minor maintenance issues that would be expected of an older property."

"Was extremely pleased with everything about the property, the cleanliness and our reception by Mary and family. We were somewhat prepared about what we would find as we watched Maine Cabin Masters, season 9 episode 1 where we watch the restoration of the property. But seeing it in person was amazing. Words actually fail me. Mary even went so far as to have a fresh baked apple pie (and a bottle of wine) waiting on us when we arrived. Anyone staying in this area should visit the Apple Shed Kitchen and Bakery in Readfield. Everything we tried there was beyond description. Glad we don’t live closer because I would drive a hundred miles to go there. About the home. Everything was ready to move in. The kitchen was well stocked and she even had the makings for S’mores. Every dish, pot or pan you could need or want was there. Heating was no problem with an HVAC. Supplemental heating with an antique pot belly stove added a nice romantic tone. Games and DVD’s (100?) were plentiful. It was a comfortable home. Fishing gear was available as were canoes and a paddle boat. The fishing was good and listening to the loons were fantastic The outside fireplace was large and seasoned wood abundantBottom line, we highly recommend this property for your consideration. We also hope to be back in the future, but will fly in. Getting there, driving around, and heading back to Western North Carolina was about 3500 miles. But it was well worth."

"Our stay at the Adirondack Lodge could not have been more magical! We were blown away by the beauty of Ingham Pond from dawn until dusk and the bald eagles and loons kept us company our entire stay.The home itself was perfect - extremely clean, comfortable, and spacious yes cozy. Roger was an extremely attentive host and replied swiftly to messages or questions both ahead of and during our stay. We will absolutely be coming back to stay and thank Roger and Elaine for being such kind and generous hosts."

"Hotel felt new only negative was the bed pillows were really small. About half the size of a regular pillow. Other than that breakfast was good and fire pit area was nice to sit after a long day."

"Where was this place when I had little kids!? Exactly as advertised… they did caution there were steep steps to climb down, but my 87 year old father took his time and did fine on them. Waking up to the loons in the morning and having coffee on the dock was so relaxing. We were in town for a wedding, but still managed to kayak and enjoy the cabin. If you have small kids and it’s raining, the boat house is the coolest clubhouse! The owner was very responsive when I had a question, the place was spotless, beds very comfortable! The third bedroom, aka boathouse, is maybe more geared for kids and teens,I can’t speak for those beds!"
Nature lovers Paradise your own island

"I loved Little Paradise Island, but it’s definitely not for everyone. A shade above camping, but with more amenities and a solid roof over your head. The perfect getaway to unplug and reset from the world, if even for a short time and if you enjoy being out on the water then you can’t ask for more. Plenty of hiking trails nearby to enjoy and entertainment options if you’re willing to travel. I loved my stay and can’t wait to come back."
