We are a large home in the heart of Springfield, MO where our guest become family on historical Walnut Street. What brings guest to us the first time is our wonderful location. Downtown Springfield is a model of the best kind of urban renewal for many to follow. There are over 50 restaurants, two movie theaters, 5 coffee shops, two parks, AA baseball (for the St. Louis Cardinals), and three colleges (MSU, Drury, and OTC) within a short walk. You have a choice; you can stay here with us and enjoy relaxing on or our porch, or take walk to a plethora of dining and entertainment all around us. What brings our guest back is our commitment to service. We want you to have a good time, and will work to make sure your stay is a fabulous one. The house and property don't hurt either! Take a look at the granite, trim and tile work, large open windows and wrap around porch!

This is a beautiful property with all the needed basic amenities. Great parking and easy access into the home. House was clean and comfortable. The only issue we experienced was late night noise from the college kids living upstairs. Other than that, the area was safe and centrally located for easy access around town. We would stay again!

Stayed here for my son’s graduation. The site was extremely clean and well stocked with many of the items others forget. Unit was nicely decorated and all the rooms were very comfortable. Location was great, north edge of campus with a CVS just two buildings away. Managers of this property also manage my son’s apartment and have always treated them very well. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend it for others. Very positive experience.

Our stay in the Springfield Historical Home was amazing! Everything was perfectly clean and ready for us when we arrived. The location was awesome - a very short walk to campus and downtown. Convenient to Missouri State and Downtown

Our experience (5 adults) was excellent. The property was clean and well-furnished. The layout is exceptional, with a large kitchen, den and porch. The coffee selection and snacks were outstanding-better than expected. It's the perfect place to visit Missouri State University. And it's just a few blocks away from the downtown center, with plenty of food and entertainment nearby. This is a great stay for those who want to be in a lively area.

Felt like home & conveniently located!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy home in Springfield, MO. Our family of five was very comfortable, and we especially appreciated the coffee, snacks, and washer/dryer available for our use. Our only suggestion is to trim back the shrubs next to the parking spots for easier access to the driver-side doors. Overall, a fantastic experience and we would certainly recommend this spot to our family and friends!

A very nicely remodeled first floor of an old house. High ceilings, a large living room and open kitchen. Lots of room. Water pressure was fantastic. Located in a quirky neighborhood near campus and downtown. Lots of restaurants nearby. And easy communication with the property manager. Would happily stay here again.

Graduation stay!

This is our second stay here in this beautiful home! It just down right feels like you are at home in this beautiful cozy home. Clean, close to everything we needed to get to on campus for graduation and moving our graduating son off campus to his new house for next year. Close to Hammonns Field where we went to watch the Bears baseball team bring home a victory, and within driving distance of shopping and good eats. Hoping to return again next spring when he graduates with his masters degree. Dixie is the best host and always is prompt in answering any questions. Highly recommend her properties!!

Loved the proximity to MSU campus, very comfortable stay for our family as we moved our son into his dorm. I was not expecting there to be another unit upstairs, I probably overlooked it in the listing. We could hear footsteps above but it was not an issue for us.

My daughter was receiving her White Coat from Missouri State University. We (her parents), her 92 year old grandfather, her brother, sister in law and two nieces stayed at the house. It was so nice to all be together instead of separate hotel rooms. We will definitely rent here again. JL

Great Visit with out of state family and our MSU kids!!!

LOVED, LOVED the location! This beautiful house was right across the street from our favorite Springfield Thai restaurant, and just two blocks from each of our MSU kiddos apartments! Large enough for our family members who had gone out to see my nephew's football game up at SW Baptist University, and so homey to just sit and relax with our Springfield college kids and have a great visit. Loved not having to be at a hotel!! Will most definitely stary here again when we need to have an extended stay for MSU events. Very clean and easy directions for check in and check out. 5 STARS!!!!

Inaccurate Listing

This listing specifically says “entire house” when pulling it up on VRBO. When we received the information to check in from the lister we were informed that we could only use certain parking spots because the others were reserved for “upstairs tenants”. We had no clue we would be sharing a property with other people during our stay. The apartments upstairs have their own entrance through a back stairway/deck. However, footsteps, toilets flushing, etc. could be heard frequently. Unless you search through the 100 reviews there is nothing on the original listing stating that it is a downstairs living quarters and not a full house. Cleanliness and the location was no issue. Would not stay here again.

Beautiful home

My husband and I are fanatics when it comes to older homes. We love driving around and looking at older homes and paying attention to all the detail that used to go into building homes. And this one, hit the mark. Not only was the home beautiful and clean, it had the nice kitchen and bathrooms that were updated as well as still having the old home charm. The home is close to any thing and everything you need in Springfield and incredibly close to the Missouri State campus if you have a student there. We were in town for one of our sons' wedding. The bedrooms, living space and bathrooms were very spacious. The kitchen and bathrooms had all the amentities you would find in a hotel, with snacks, coffee pods, soaps etc. We would defininitely come back here anytime we come to visit Springfield. This home is a must come again place! Thank you for having us!
