Great hotel but elevator was a long wait each time you used it.

The check in was easy and the room was amazing. I loved the shower and bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Overall a good stay at The Melrose Georgetown Hotel — nice room, good atmosphere, and great location. A couple of things to note: the AC wasn’t working properly, and the room stayed in the 70s even when adjusted. We arrived late and couldn’t get assistance, so we had to open the window to cool it down. Also, valet parking is offered without clearly stating the cost upfront (around $80), and there’s an additional daily historical fee that isn’t very transparent until checkout. Aside from that, everything else was smooth and comfortable.

We had a great stay at Poplar House. We opted for a two bedroom unit and it was fantastic. Just enough space, a fully equipped kitchen, in-unit washer and dryer (they provided laundry pods), and a dishwasher (they also provided dishwasher pods!). Literally every single thing that we could think of was provided for us. The rooms were spotless. Bathrooms were also impeccably clean. Xavier was communicative and quick to respond, and he helped us figure out how to check in because the door to the building is sort of in a weird area. The convenience of this place is truly unmatched— seriously, it was nicer than a lot of hotels that I’ve stayed in. I’ll admit that I had some worries based on other reviews that I saw before coming, and I’m glad that I didn’t pay them much mind. We had a great stay and I can't wait to come back.
