Was excited, and then, disappointed. 1. Checked in, went upstairs and there was a spot of blood on the comforter. Called housekeeping and they came 15 minutes later and changed out the bedding completely. 2. The first two out of four people showered only to notice there weren’t enough towels in the room. Called housekeeping again, they sent up more towels in about 40 minutes. 3. Got in bed and started to read. I attempted to turn on the headboard light to read, but it didn’t work. It was not fixed during the brief stay. 4. Toilet didn’t flush, fill, and stop. Called housekeeping and explained the problem. 20-30 minutes later, they sent two maintenance men who brought a kit to fix the sink. They left and came back ten minutes later with the proper tools and fixed the toilet. 5. I got a drink at the bar and asked them break a $20.00 bill. I was told they didn’t have change, I should go ask at the front desk. I asked at the front desk and they told me they didn’t have change, try the bar. I explained that I just came from the bar, and they told me to go outside to find one of the valets and see if they had cash to make change. Everything occurred in less than 24 hours and they did not ask, offer, gesture, etc., anything as a courtesy or in response to any of the problems. We checked out and left. First, and last time at The Watergate Hotel.
