My kind of place...

Posted 25-May-2016
I can't speak for everyone but this place is perfect for me. The location is convenient, the rooms plenty big enough, the bathroom is clean and spacious, the bed is comfortable and their is a nice ale house right next door. Nothing is perfect and if I had one complaint it would be charging over $20 for valet parking or $17 if I want to walk two blocks. Obviously I opted for the valet but I think the whole thing is way too expensive given the city. I feel they should come up with a better solution or charge more for the room. I hate feeling like nickeled and dimed...

Excellent hotel in the center of the city

Posted 20-May-2016
The hotel is beautiful and regal and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. We ate in the restaurant and had 2 of the best meals! (I recommend the beef stroganoff, yum!) The room was very nice. We would have liked a mini fridge and the bed was a bit lumpy, but overall everything was wonderful.

Place was great. The only reason I gave it less than "excellent" reviews on some is because the tub wouldn't stay plugged/kept draining and people in the area slammed doors a lot. No big deal though!

Down town Spokane

Posted 03-May-2016
Pros: Quiet and didn't get bothered by others.
Cons: Parking prices for their important guests
Location: Down town near most everything
Nice hotel downtown Spokane. The room was ok on the street side. The toilet had a problem when we got there, plugged by previous people. They did fix it right away. I was not impressed with the parking 2 blocks away in the rain. On top of that we had to pay nightly parking. While our dinner guests got free Valet parking for spending only $10.00. We paid total of $800.00 for hotel, spa and dinner and still had to pay parking on top of that for 2 nights stay. Next time I would park on the street, it's much closer to the room!

Nice location, the hotel is a little older but still in good condition. The staff was pleasant and very timely. We called a couple of times to get our truck from valet and had very prompt service. We came over for Bloomsday and this hotel is only 1 block from the start of the race. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a comfortable room with very little walking distance from shopping, restaurants, and the park. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The only complaint is that I was woke up at 3:00 AM from the room above us. Someone must have had to catch a flight early and was walking around quite loud until about 4:30 AM when they left. The cleanliness of the room was excellent. The Wifi was good, there were several plug-ins and I was able to plug in my Garmin watch directly into the bedside lamp.

Old European urban feel

From the doorman to the lobby to the twisting hallways to the cozy room, I felt like I was back in Itsy, or perhaps NYC 50 years ago (with more comfortable beds!)

So Disappointing

Posted 12-Apr-2016 on Hotels
So very disappointed. Additional fees for parking were not disclosed until after booking. Fees, Fees, Fees - everything from a bucket of ice to a bottle of water was an additional fee. I was looking for an upscale, nice place to stay and not be nickel-dimed to death. You could not even get a cup of coffee in the lounge. No snacks, no breakfast, literally nothing except a bed and a room. The room was nice and we had no complaints with the room, but it cost an extra $17 for self parking 2 blocks away and when we went to leave, it would not take our pre-paid parking receipt, said it was expired so we had to return to the hotel to get one that worked. All in all, I've stayed at a lot nicer and more accommodating places. Next time I'll try Red Lion because I will not be returning here!
