Excellent hotel in the center of the city

Posted 20-May-2016
The hotel is beautiful and regal and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. We ate in the restaurant and had 2 of the best meals! (I recommend the beef stroganoff, yum!) The room was very nice. We would have liked a mini fridge and the bed was a bit lumpy, but overall everything was wonderful.

Place was great. The only reason I gave it less than "excellent" reviews on some is because the tub wouldn't stay plugged/kept draining and people in the area slammed doors a lot. No big deal though!

Down town Spokane

Posted 03-May-2016
Pros: Quiet and didn't get bothered by others.
Cons: Parking prices for their important guests
Location: Down town near most everything
Nice hotel downtown Spokane. The room was ok on the street side. The toilet had a problem when we got there, plugged by previous people. They did fix it right away. I was not impressed with the parking 2 blocks away in the rain. On top of that we had to pay nightly parking. While our dinner guests got free Valet parking for spending only $10.00. We paid total of $800.00 for hotel, spa and dinner and still had to pay parking on top of that for 2 nights stay. Next time I would park on the street, it's much closer to the room!

Nice location, the hotel is a little older but still in good condition. The staff was pleasant and very timely. We called a couple of times to get our truck from valet and had very prompt service. We came over for Bloomsday and this hotel is only 1 block from the start of the race. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a comfortable room with very little walking distance from shopping, restaurants, and the park. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The only complaint is that I was woke up at 3:00 AM from the room above us. Someone must have had to catch a flight early and was walking around quite loud until about 4:30 AM when they left. The cleanliness of the room was excellent. The Wifi was good, there were several plug-ins and I was able to plug in my Garmin watch directly into the bedside lamp.

Old European urban feel

From the doorman to the lobby to the twisting hallways to the cozy room, I felt like I was back in Itsy, or perhaps NYC 50 years ago (with more comfortable beds!)

I have never felt more unwelcome

Posted 08-Mar-2016
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything I mentioned above.
This was one the worst hotel I have ever stayed and paid the most mount of money. We checked in to the hotel and room reeked of marijuana the whole time we were there. Parking was an additional $22. Later that night my fiancé decided to go back to the room and accidently left her key in there before we left. The hotel refused to let her in to the room until they were able to get a hold of me. In the mean time she had to use the bathroom of which they said no, so she had to wait until she was able to get into our room. She clearly had things that belonged to her that was up in our room. They let her up upon contacting me. We got up the next morning extremely hungry. There was no breakfast downstairs, no breakfast vouchers, no fridge in the room to keep food in. No pool, no hot tub, no nothing. Just a room with a bed and a shower that still reeked of marijuana. So seems how we were extremely hungry we had to get the car from Valet to go get something to eat. With us having to get the car so early, it literally forced us to check out early and not be able to enjoy our stay and sleep in until check out time. It's because of how the Hotel Lusso is and the staff that is there, we left Spokane a day early. We decided it would be better off to cancel the other plans we had made, go home a day early, than to deal with service like this again. Even though I made this complaint with the hotel they were not willing to do anything about it.

Pay to say you stayed!

For the price, there is no reason to ever stay at the Davenport. Off site parking means valet or hoofing it! I was asked at check in if i wanted a paper in the morning, even which paper I wanted. No paper at the door in the morning, but I was able to help myself to one in the lobby in the morning on my way out. Complemetary water in the room you ask? Nope. 2$ for a 16.9 oz. Don't expect coffee, water, or a snack in the lobby on your way out either. The bed was very comfortable, to bad about the nice size hole in the sheet. Attention to detail was lacking from what we expected. The tall ceilings echoed the footsteps from above before the light of dawn
