The location was ideal minutes from the ferry / port/ bus station- plus it was central to the market and grocery store but the room was super small and building was uninviting/ dirty. TV was challenging to operate.

Other than having to walk up a few flights the room was great. You can’t beat the location. You are ten minutes walking to everything- the bus, train and ferry. The waterfront is a two minute walk and the center of town is right there. Great stay. Would stay there again

Handy Location
Situated a stone's throw from Diocletian's Palace with a couple of small supermarkets very close. Not a huge room but met our needs.

- When we arrived there was a wild cat in the room, due to allergies we could not stay there. - It doesn't say that animals were allowed in the room. - It smelled terrible and she refused to answer our questions. - It says dry cleaning / laundry services - It wasn't. - It says there was parking - We didn't get that

Avoid if you want a nice experience
Baby crib was advertised as available, and we had requested it weeks in advance. Onsite parking was also advertised but when we got there after a delayed flight at 1am there was neither, and we had a crying eight month old baby that needed a place to sleep other than on the floor or in an adult bed. We were told closest parking was a 30 minute walk away. We had to figure things out ourselves and booked another hotel room with a baby crib. They now refuse to refund us even though there was false advertisement on their part. Had we known the description was not accurate we would not have booked this room

There is no parking except for the hotel.How can you give me a rating whwn you did not stay in the room.I waited for you at night until 2 am.I wrote to you that we don"t have a cot that can be seen.

Good little central spot
The place was in an excellent position. Close to the bus station, local bus stops, farry port, restaurants, and more. Place was clean and tidy just a little small. Easy to find and the host was nice. All strip's no elevator so be prepared to carry your suitcases up 4 flighs of stairs.

Felt like in somebodys home, but private. Once figured out door check in was easy, pleasant staff. Note it is a few flights up stairs so if difficulty with stairs or lots of luggage can be a problem.

Suitable for budget traveller
Centrally located and walkable distance to a lot of tourist attraction. Host was nice Located on 2/F be prepared to carry your luggage. Room was tiny and old. After you put the luggage you could barely walk in the room. We booked a Terrance facing room but was given a smaller room facing the main road. The blind couldn’t be closed fully so it was noisy and bright . After a day out we came back to the room and it was filled with a strong sewage smell. The power socket was half way out from the wall , definitely need some TLC. It’s more like a motel and suitable for budget travellers. It’s good for its price but I would definitely prefer to pay more for a decent room.

We stayed here because it's close to bus, ferry, and train, as well as downtown/old Town split. Overall an adequate place. Could be better signage to find at night.

Room was ok, slightly nicer online then in person. It was spacious though and had a mini fridge which was nice. Location was also great, right in the city center. What was disappointing was that the photo on Expedia is of the building across the street, not of where the rooms actually are. The rooms are in an apartment building on a hidden street. They also don’t mention the stairs. There are a ton of stairs and no elevator which we did not know about.

Very central but no parking
Small room. Very central - just 5/10 mins walk to the centre in one direction and the beach in the other. The negative was the parking. It says self-parking but should say no parking. We drove around in circles for 25 minutes before finding a free place to park ten minutes walk away. There was a kettle in the room and cups and a knife (no spoon or tea). There was liquid hand wash but no shower gel. Wifi was good. There was a fridge in the reception area but not in the room.

Damira days in Split.
Split is a great place with lots to do and plenty of opportunities to relax and watch the world go by too. Our stay was made even better by being at Damira as the location was great. Although not inside the Roman city, it is only a 5 min walk away, as is the harbour and main pedestrian areas, restaurants, shops and supermarkets. The room was small, but had everything we needed including coffee making facilities and good a /c, which we needed during a very hot August! The owner was very welcoming and brought coffee in the morning! There is a common area with a fridge and sink for prepayment and eating food, but we had no cooking facilities with our room. Overall we had a great stay in Split, and a great place to stay!

Nice, clean room, great location
We liked the room - it was very clean and air-conditioned, the bed was comfortable. Hosts were very nice and welcoming. The location is very convenient - literally minutes to the old part of Split, to the port, and to the bus station. One thing that could be improved - it would be nice to have toiletries in the shower (shampoo and shower gel).

Great place in Split!
Damira was a great hostess. She met me when I got to the apartment and showed me around. One thing: if you decide to wait to pay until you arrive you must pay cash only. She can't take cards. Otherwise, great location and very comfortable!!

The hotel is really not visible from any angle.
Very bad hotel cannot be found, at 10.30 pm when i arrived to split and i was looking for this hotel it was really not traceable only the signage in yellow could be seen but when you enter the aisle you cannot see the hotels. This hotel is a big scam.

Cozy little hotel
Cozy little place being rented out with a few others on same floor close to each other. Our host was very nice and even though we had to check out by 10 she let us keep our luggage in common area under our bus ride later on in afternoon. Quite close to old town and good walking distance to the forest area.

This place was a little difficult to find and it is up on the 4th floor with no elevator. There were no lights in the stairways which made it difficult to leave the room and come back as each door you go through needs to be unlocked-a little hard when you cannot see anything. It was close to the sea and the ferries/buses, Diocletian's Palace and some good restaurants. When I booked this room, shortly after I got an email from Smokvina Travel Agency (I assume they got my contact information when I booked this room because I did not give it to them) and they seemed very helpful over email and said they booked some stuff for us to do while in Split. When we got to Split and went to the agency, they were AWFUL. Very rude and unhelpful, and none of the stuff they had told us they booked was actually booked! Very disappointing. Also booked a pubcrawl through them and they told us the wrong time so we didn't actually get to go despite paying for it! The room was fine but if you get an email from this travel agency, I suggest not booking anything through them. Instead, find another agency that will actually book the stuff they told you they would and give you the right times and places for things! This agency made my stay in Split very stressful and disappointing as I did not get to do the things I thought were planned months ahead of time.

A disaster
Did not stay as the room was way too small. Tiny in fact. My wife also said the bathroom had an unpleasant smell. Paid for the night and then for another place somewhere else that the son organised, thankfully. I had a very sore foot and acted badly as I would have accepted it but my wife would not.

Excellent location by the Old City, clean
The hostess was very kind, had everything to offer. It's more of a hostel-type stay, so if you have noisy guests in the hallway you may wake up but this doesn't detract from the cozy, clean, comfortable room. Fridge available, AC and water heater worked well, wifi password, everything you need.

Lovely hosts. The room was reasonable. Would've been nice a bit bigger, but I was everything I needed. Had an en-suite. No kitchen facilities in the room cut a kettle and a couple of mugs. Excellent price for what you get. Very close to everything - markets, the food strip, pier, buses. I had a great stay.

Good clean rooms in a good location
A good location a short walk to Diocletian's Palace and the sea front. Comfortable clean room with everything we needed and a nice friendly welcome from the owners with good advice and conversation. We were driving and managed to park in small street opposite the rooms, although I think we were quite lucky to find a space. Would certainly recommend and stay again the next time we visit Split which is a wonderful and very special place.

Great Location
Rooms Damira is within walking distance of the main bus station in Split and close to Old Town. There are many places to eat and enjoy coffee while people watching in the area. The market also sets up just down the street between Rooms Damira and Old Town. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. There was no elevator but we were aware prior to booking. The hosts were very friendly and helpful giving us tips on sightseeing and things to do. The owner even offered me the use of his cell phone to call a local tour company. Very much appreciated that act of kindness. His wife greeted us with some homemade apple pastry upon arrival. I would definitely stay at Rooms Damira again.

Great bang for the buck!
If you are looking for a clean and comfortable, yet inexpensive place to spend the night in the heart of Downtown Split, this is it. Don't expect any amenities, just a great place to crash after a long day on the beach, siteseeing or city cruising. Very kind and helpful staff. Immaculate bathroom, linen, and great A/C. Recommended!
