Our room was very cool - clearly thought had gone into the design. Facilities all great. We really liked the communal tea and coffee making - keeps the minimal feel in the room and means they can be high quality and well stocked. Breakfast was convenient and good, the staff nice, really well located. Would thoroughly recommend Up There.

We loved our stay at Up There in Split! The hotel was very clean and very safe. Hotel staff was extremely helpful and accommodating of our requests. The room was well-kept and clean. We wish we stayed in Split longer so we could stay at the hotel for longer. The hotel was in a great location and was very walkable to the main restaurants and areas. Would stay here again.

It's a very nice hotel with friendly staff and spacious room. The coffee/tea/snack/fruit area is wonderful. I recommend the sea view room which is awesome because you can see sunset from your room windows. Overall, it's a very nice hotel !

Small, clean, quiet rooms
This was the perfect hotel for relaxing after a very long flight. Beautiful view of thr harbor. Very walkable to everything. Clean and quiet. Breakfast is offered across the stereet with a variety of choices.

Lovely place but bad wifi
The place looks great and was comfortable, nice view. However the WiFi is so bad, it was barely usable and I was there on my own so I really needed to use it.

Don't be fooled by the exterior of this accommodation - the rooms and views will change your mind. A modern, Scandinavian look and feel to the room and an amazing view of the mountains surrounding Split. Staff were very friendly and a nice touch to be able to make ourselves a coffee in the common area.

Beautiful views from large modern rooms. Lovely breakfasts at Toc restaurant.Staff were tremendous.Higher position of rooms(with lifts) meant quiet at night. Just a short walk to the town and to a superb sandy beach. Couldn't fault it . Perfect.

Staff was very helpful and always pleasant to interact with. The property is a 10 minute walk from the port, the promenade, the old city. There is a Tommy supermarket literally next door so you can load up on water, snacks, etc without inflated prices. The first room smelled of light smoke (someone smoking in building or on another floor?) and it was persistent so it bothered my wife a lot (she has a very sensitive sense of smell). The staff was very accommodating and was able to switch rooms for us so they can resolve the issue. The room was clean and had a great view. At least 3 of the nights, we saw fireworks from nearby. We could see ships, ferries passing by. The only issue with such a great view is that the sun, which was scorching for the time we stayed in August, would warm up the room a lot. There were blackout curtains that helps though. The view at nighttime was great. I would come back here again if I return to Split.

The staff and receptionist were so accommodating when we were early, and provided several sites and restaurants to visit. And not to mention an amazing location and a beautiful room.

Amazing views
It was a very comfortable stay , staff very friendly and helpful. The sea view is amazing and location great. the entrance of the building is very average but the floor of the apartment is very nicely done! It feels like home away from home!

Excellent place! The room was elegant and clean and the view amazing. The staff were all wonderful, and they helped us with everything we needed (except for not telling us about the easy cheap airport bus, but that wold be true of any place so dependent on tourist dollars.) They even brought us fresh cherries when we were stuck doing e-paperwork in the refreshments/ business area. Later, when we told them we had a very early flight the next day they had someone go fetch us the included breakfast and had it waiting in the fridge for the next morning, which we really appreciated. Just be careful not to trip when you first arrive at the 6th floor entrance door, as the doorway height is different. Also, pull hard to close your room door or it might not be locked. Overall a great stay. We loved Split.

Surprisingly cute & very convenient!
The whole upper part of this office building has been converted into different hotel room blocks. The room was a very cute, danish design & the bed was comfortable. The women who checked us in gave us lots of suggestions about where to go. It is very well positioned to get to the old town & the port. The outside of the building is a bit unkempt, but inside it is very nice & clean. Air conditioner was okay. Wifi was good. Location was great. I wish it had a tea pot/coffee in the room. They did give you a large bottle of water in the mini fridge & there were drinks in the small lobby when it was open.

Beautiful views from a clean room
The best place we stayed in in h ar was here at Up There. The view was stunning and it was just out of the way of the busy hustle and bustle but not too far of a walk to get there. We really enjoyed our stay and the recommendations they had for us. Breakfast included was a nice touch and a great way to start the day. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

Excellent accommodation
The location of the hotel is easily accessible, just a few minutes away from the port and the main bus station. The room is modern, clean and spacious and the view is very good. The lady at the reception is super helpful in providing recommendation to us of the nearby attractions. One thing they could do better is the breakfast. The quality of the bistro nearby is just average.

Great hotel in Spilt very close to ferry!
Place feels like it is brand new although it has been open a few years. Great location. Easy access to ferries. Very helpful assistance provided by hotel. Above and beyond. Would recommend this to anyone.

Very nice hotel
Th location of the hotel is great, just walking distance to the main bus station and the port of Split. The room is spacious and very clean. The staff is extremely helpful in providing recommendations to the nearby attractions. This is a highly recommended accommodation when you stay in Split.

Up There is simply a great place to stay at if you're ever visiting Split. With its location only being a couple minutes walk away from the Diocletian Palace, Riva or beaches such as the famous Bacivice, you can't go wrong! The hotel atmosphere and staff is very welcoming & friendly. My wife and I had an amazing week and the positive experience in Split can be credited to the Staff's conversations with us and recommendations given. Our room was clean, spacious and had an amazing view of the sea; we had no issues using the free WiFi as well. A nearby bistro, about a minute walk away, offers a few good options from their menu for you to choose from. We had no issues finding the hotel or the breakfast bistro.

Close to old town
Pros Very Clean and staff very helpful. Cons overlooking noisy main road and the sofa bed is not great. They were helpful rectifying this however and provided another room. I would have preferred a harbour view room but the city side room can take three people which we had. Overall about 4/5 and would suggest booking a room at the back away from the road.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The views from most of the rooms are amazing. The rooms are clean and modern. The hotel is one floor in an old apartment/office building very near to the old town/beach/bus train and ferries. Breakfast could be better you get coupons at a nearby bistro which serves omelettes egg & bacon or bread and ham.

Stylish & comfortable, great staff
Up There is a great little boutique hotel hidden on the 6th floor of a converted office building - there are several other hotels on different floors, as well as a radio station. It can be a bit confusing to figure out how to get in and find the hotel, but once you get past that it is a really charming little place that is obviously a labor of design love for the operators. The room is really clean and well appointed and pleasant, the staff are super friendly and helpful, and the location is perfect as it is a very short walk to the ferry terminal if you are heading out to the islands but is far enough away to be more calm and local. Definitely would recommend.

We loved Up There! When we got into town and checked in, the staff gave us a wonderful and thorough overview of what to do in the city, how to get around etc. SO HELPFUL. They were always checking in and making sure everything worked and how our day was. We loved the coffee and snack lounge area, a nice welcome after a long day of exploring. Very close to the bus and train station, super close to everything in the city. Highly recommend.
