They provided an off-street parking spot 125 meters up the road. But when a room has only one small window it would be helpful to provide adequate lighting. There's a ceiling fixture in this room that doesn't help much, and two bedside lamps with dinky, dim bulbs. This was not a great experience. 1- the free parking is a lie. Directions to the hotel lead to a pedestrian area and you will need to find on street parking nearby. This is tricky in anything but the smallest car. We specifically booked this hotel because of the free parking so please beware if this is your reason too. 2- the room we were given was not at the location provided, it was another 500m walk away. the room was nicely decorated but.. the walls are very thin and the other guests were up drunk late and outside of our room. overall this was the worst 2 nights of our 14 day trip to Croatia. Marina was super friendly and welcoming, took her time to share her insights into the city and was super responsive on her cell phone with any question we had. The place is tastefully decorated, modern, spotless. We loved the (mostly pedestrian) neighborhood and enjoyed coming back every night to the peace and quiet of the apartment. Walking to the waterfront and to the Diocletian Palace was a pleasant 5-min stroll; everything you need to get in terms of supplies is within a 100-meter radius (bakeries, supermarkets, pharmacy...); and the fact that Marina has a free, secure parking was a huge bonus, especially so close to the Diocletian Palace. We just parked the car there and blissfully forgot about it for the rest of our stay! Yes, you do have to climb stairs (one short flight up to the apartment itself, which has 2 levels) but that's part of the charm, and they aren't bad at all. Our only regret: we didn't have time to try the wine and cheese bar, Paradox, just around the corner. Will have to come back for that one. Thank you Marina! She assisted us in finding transport (car and driver) to Trogir and to Dubrovnik 10 days later. He was prompt, polite and a safe driver. The apartments are quirky, particularly the lamp shades one was made from feathers and another like a daisy. We loved the individualism of the apartments. Moja obitelj i ja smo se veoma ugodno osjećali u apartmanu, već prilikom dolaska smo bili veoma srdačno i prijateljski dočekani od strane ljubazne i susretljive djelatnice. Apartman je novouređen i veoma čist,a način na koji je uređen je takav da smo se u njemu osjećali ugodno i ležerno. Blizina starog grada i važnijih kulturnih i povijesnih znamenitosti te splitske rive je dodatan plus za ovaj hotel. The rooms are great, position of the hotel can not be better and the staff very helpfull. I used bike from the hotel and enjoyed explore the city. Marina and her sister were amazing hosts, gave us bikes to explore the town. That was great experience! Split is lovely town with lots of interesting restaurants, small bars..We had excellent time in Split and accommodation is one of the best we stayed! ##### Mladena ### 6/10 Okay #### Verified traveller 6 Oct 2014 Disliked: Room comfort #### Not exclusive and not an apartment There is no way this particular apartment on the first floor of Plinarska 4 could be described as 4 star. I would say it is at best a 2-star "room". The entrance was like a warehouse full of bikes and toilet rolls and other "stuff" We had to ask for a kettle and cups. There was no mini-kitchen, just a few plastic plates. The only storage for clothes was a tiny rack about 60 cm above the plates and glasses - you could not actually hang anything there. There were no tissues. All in all it was overpriced and disappointing.
