"Charming miners cottages in the centre of Burra, within easy walking distance to eating & shops. Quiet, spacious, very comfy bed. Being winter the cottages do get cold but heat pump soon fixed that. When we arrived at the front of the cottages a notice on the gate said to check in around the corner at the office on site so we drove around only to find a board propped against a tree saying check in was now via the camp ground along the road. Another couple were in the same boat. When we arrived at the camp grounds there we no issues, the lady was very friendly, i informed her of the miscommunication info& was going to sort it out. We were told the cottages are council run. A message prior to check in to clarify this would be helpful. An otherwise great stay."

"The motel is well appointed and maintained. Heating in the room and bathroom worked well, which is important in Clare in the colder months. As the property is on the edge of town I was pleasantly surprised by the presence of kangaroos on the extensive grounds when I checked in late in the afternoon."

"This cottage has been restored to perfection and was considered a home rather than a house by our family of six who stayed for four nights. The interior could be straight out of a glossy magazine and my Mum (in her 80's) was constantly wowed by the authentic vintage utensils on display. We were fortunate to meet our hosts who were even more charming than their cottage. A leisurely afternoon, with a wine or two or three, watching the delightful AJ sing should be a compulsory component of any booking. Highly recommended."

"The cottage has everything you need in generous supply. It's like living in a museum with a strong sense of history. I strongly recommend staying at the cottage. The only negatives are the TV reception was faulty and Netflix never worked. Cosy home with a marvellous garden."
