This place was perfect for what we needed, a great place to relax, plenty of room for everyone. It was a big plus to have the kitchen so we didnt have to go out for every meal and washing machine and dryer were a big perk too. Echo Lake swim area is just up the road and many trailheads are nearby in either direction. Sand Beach, Cadillac Mountain, Dorr Mountain, and many other popular spots are a short drive away, and gas stations and groceries are both VERY convenient. It was the perfect choice for our visit to the area. ##### Mike P. It was very clean and well appointed. About 20 minutes from Acadia and or Bar Harbor.If you cook, you’ll wanna bring your own knives. The twin beds were a bit soft.The queen bed upstairs was fabulous. Having laundry was very convenient and it worked like a charm They do not have cable so if you don’t have a streaming service, it’s pretty limited.There’s one TV downstairs. So the people in the downstairs bedroom always has to listen to the TV because there is not one upstairs.The location is fabulous and downtown Southwest harbor is very welcoming. We enjoyed being on the quieter side of the island. Southwest Harbor is a nice small town, and yet access to all the Acadia National Park sights, as well as to Bar Harbor, is easy. The house is light-filled, comfortable, with all the necessary appliances, etc. Comfortable beds. Wi-Fi works well. Our host was very accessible via email ahead of time to answer questions.
