Canyon Lodge & Cabins - Inside the Park

"Great location. Less than 10 minutes from the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone (North Rim). Also, really centrally located in the park, easy drives to everywhere you would want to visit. We saw a bison inside the lodge, surreal. Good food - options like Ramen, Pho and sandwiches/burgers. Gift shops. The lodges could be better designed though, no ceiling fan or AC. Our table fan was broken, and they were out of spares. Also, what's with the shower curtain being above the rim of the bathtub?"

"This hotel felt amazing. Great location and beautiful inside. The room was spacious and clean. There is not a single thing that was wrong about this stay, except possibly there is crowded parking and only one entrance. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again."

"I originally booked this property for my family of four several months ago. One of the features that enticed me was the complimentary breakfast that, for the most part, received good reviews. Traveling with two teenage boys, and having breakfast available and on the ready included in the price of the lodging was big for me. However, when I checked In I was told that there no longer was a complimentary breakfast, but instead they now have an ‘onsite breakfast restaurant’ that served breakfast, usually costing $12-16 per person, but it was ‘so good it’s worth it’. If I had been told of this change prior to my arrival I would have changed my booking. They also did not try to rectify this with me in any way, ie vouchers for breakfast or any type of reimbursement, nor an apology. When we arrived to the room, the first thing we found were tater tots under the air conditioner, not enough towels in a room clearly booked for four people, lights burned out in the bathroom, and several electrical outlets that didn’t work. And don’t let me get started on how thin the doors and walls are from one room to the next. Overall our stay ended up being ‘ok’. We just had breakfast each day down the street at McDonalds, dealt with the dim bathroom and useless plugs, and kept the room clean ourselves. The location is very good and the staff are friendly. But for the price we paid, I expected much better, oh and the complimentary breakfast I expected when I booked. I wouldn’t book here again."

"Everything was fine at the property except for one thing. No air-conditioning! Even though it’s in the mountains, it still gets hot up here and the room was so uncomfortable at night trying to sleep. We even had all the windows open and the patio door open and the fan going. It was still unbearable."
