"Check-in staff was helpful and outgoing. The night shift guy was not helpful when we tried informing him that our A/C in our room was not functioning correctly. He kept making excuses rather than moving us to another room and suggested we deal with it since we were only staying two nights. After being adamant about not staying another night in a hot room, we were provided another room which was upgraded and had a great AC unit. This was a nice gesture, just wish the hotel staff had been more considerate of our concerns initially. Otherwise, the hotel stay was great and in an amazing area. Check-out staff was also very friendly and accommodating. Would stay again and recommend to others!"

"35 countries under my belt so trust me when I say this hotel is a good one. If you’re gonna be in Berat this is the one to choose. The view down the promenade from the rooftop restaurant is fantastic. Wonderful way to start the day each breakfast. Good location overall, nice park across street, and nice view of the Colombo hotel dome from the same rooftop outdoor deck. Great breakfast. Staff is perfect. Only improvement they could make immediately is get some ice machines on property. Don’t know what the deal is with all of Albania getting ice anywhere including hotels, or napkins at most meals or drink orders, but that’s nonsense by the rest of the developed world standard. This is NOT a plaza hotel issue, but since seeing it in other hotels and cities before coming to Berat, we notice it. This hotel borders on perfection regardless. :)"

"The location is excellent, right off the main promenade. The property is quaint, well-maintained, and full of charm. The rooms are on the smaller side, but they were perfectly adequate for a couple of nights. We had a rear-facing balcony; however, each floor also had beautifully decorated common seating areas where you could relax, watch the sunset, enjoy views of the beach, or simply do some people-watching. Breakfast was included and offered a good selection of options. Overall, we felt it was great value for the money. My only suggestion for improvement would be parking convenience. Free street parking is very limited, so we opted to pay for parking about 500 metres up the road."

"This was a lovely hotel. Bit of a hill to get to it and between a 5-10 minute walk to the main restaurants. 10-20 minute walk to beach, depending on which one you went to. Staff are lovely, rooms are clean. There is no food on premises after breakfast. Pool snacks would be good. Bar open until around 8pm. I think later would of been better. You can get take aways to be delivered to the hotel though. We had pizza a couple of times and it was lovely. They order that in for you. Overall was lovely, nice pool area too."
