"This is an old hotel in the centre of Kilkenny within close walking distance to the castle. shopping and other sights. We loved the character of the hotel especially the bar and dinning room. The food was good, we had breakfast and dinner the two days of our stay. Our room was in the newer part of the hotel and was very comfortable. We especially liked the bathroom, great shower and plenty of room for your toiletries. The one drawback was the fact that there were no lifts so stairs needed to be negotiated. The staff were very good about taking the luggage in and out of the room so we didn't mind using the stairs at other times. On the whole a very pleasant stay."

"Our stay was towards the end of a 10 day road trip through Ireland and I was really looking forward to staying at Mount Juliet Estate. Website and booking sites show a huge old manor house but our accommodation ended up being in a Marriot on a golf course. I wouldn't consider it a 5 star hotel. The room was a good size, the bed was comfortable however the bathroom was shabby, dirty and the door didn't close properly. Breakfast was included and had a good selection."

"We had a wonderful time! We were welcome by Ray, and from the moment we up in the car door, we were made to feel welcome at this great spot. We will look forward to coming back soon, and hope to be able to get the same bridal suite that we were surprised with!"
