It's a lovely place, nice room, basic and small but served our purpose. Very firm matrases, closer to hard. Good English breakfast but not much else. There were 2 issues only. One is that in a twin room you can't really use a wardrobe, it's very tight spacing and it just doesn't open as the bed is next to it (you can't move the bed either, no space). And at 7.00 fire alarm went off in our room. That seriously disrupted my sleep and turned out to be something in the kitchen. No one even went down to the rooms to say it's ok, I had to dress up and go find someone to find out what's happening. Obviously not much sleep afterwards. But I believe it's a rare case. Other than that we would probably stay there again if we had to be in the area.

It was very clean though the carpets had foul smell. Needs a bit of air fresheners / enhancers. Overally it was a good night.

As a single female travelling would not recommend. No amenities within walking distance for evening meal options. No one on reception from 7pm and just did not feel safe. Decided not to stay and booked another hotel after arriving

We are sorry to hear that your discomfort led to your decision to depart from our premises. Even though the reception closes at 7 pm, there are staff members available on-site for emergencies; their contact details are prominently displayed at the reception and entrance. At 7 pm, all doors on our property are secured, with guests able to enter using the key safety box outside, and the code is regularly updated every 2-3 days. Our 24-hour CCTV surveillance further bolsters the security measures in place.Our facility functions as a bed and breakfast, and as such, does not offer dinner services. However, within a short two-minute walk, you can find Mcarthies, a grocery store that closes at 5 pm, and The Boss, a kebab and pizza truck open nightly. Additionally, Wickham Centre is merely a brief 2-minute drive away, providing a range of dining options and bars.

Great choice for trips to S'oton/Portsmouth area
Hidden gem. This has only recently opened, but will be my first choice when in the area. I've stopped here on several occasions now. Staff are very welcoming and always willing to make your stay comfortable. The standard of the rooms is very high. Its been well decorated. The area is very quiet. Its easy to locate. The Restaurants not open yet, but there are local places to eat, but I'm looking forward to eating here in the near future and trying their other hotels. Good job everyone !
