Booked the comfort triple room with private bathroom, on arrival we were shown to a twin room and a single room, without private bathroom. When we quieried this the barman said they don’t have triple rooms with private bathrooms so I showed him the booking I made along with this room still being advertised. He went away and returned stating he could not do anything as the manager wasn’t available, therefore, we had no option but to stay in rooms we had not booked. Shared kitchen was dismal, one mug for the whole 9 rooms, shared bathroom was unclean with poor shower, other shared bathroom was also unclean with a shower that did not work. Pub itself was ok, barman was as helpful as he could be but we would not return and would not recommend

Really happy with the hotel and our stay there. My only negative point was having to pay for parking, at the train station next to the hotel. Only free parking is for blue badge holders.

The room was nice, the location was excellent. Very secure, you have to use your rm key to get beyond the ground floor to the rms. Also the hotel is in the same little square as the train station. My only complaint is that there's so much going on in the front of the hotel we thought it was a restaurant. Then we realized that the entrance to the Chillis was actually the entrance to the hotel. Other than that the place is great, and in fantastic proximity to the train station, a small Sainsburys and cafes . Would definitely recommend and if we ever come back would not hesitate to stay there again
