This cottage had amazing views and was so peaceful. I loved it there. The owners were gracious, very responsive and very friendly. This was my first time as the person booking, and it was wonderful to have two such lovely people to work with.
This cottage was in such a great location! The beach is amazing. My kids spent all day hunting for hermit crabs, shells, and other treasures. The kitchen was fully stocked, the house was clean, the owners were awesome. Overall a wonderful stay!
We were especially appreciative of the warm welcome from Richard and Cindy to their cherished family property, a peaceful haven on Maine’s island studded coast! Everything about our week’s stay at the water’s edge was perfect relaxation!
Very relaxing and peaceful. We enjoyed walking on the beach and watching the geese. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets, especially from the living area and the front porch. Super clean and all the amenities we could possibly need. Enjoyed meeting Cindi and Richard and already planning a return trip!
We had a wonderful week. The view is spectacular! We enjoyed sitting on the porch after a long day to relax. The property is well maintained and very clean with a well equipped kitchen which we appreciate. It was great returning to this part of Maine after several years' absence. The hosts were great and attentive to our needs.
We had a wonderful stay the last week of September. The cottage was great - peaceful and quiet, yet alive with the sky and water and geese! We enjoyed the views out the windows, the great screened in porch, and all the interesting points to visit in the area. It was outfitted with everything we might need. Richard and Cindi were great hosts, and fun to chat with.
Very comfortable and well-equipped cottage. Comfortable bed in master bedroom and plenty of closet space. Washer & dryer an added bonus to the amenities. The hosts were very welcoming and very attentive to our inquiries. Views from the cottage were beautiful and ever changing with the tides. The whoopie pies at McCloons were phenomenal. We are returning next year.
This is our 5th year staying at the cottage. Our first few visits were shared with a long-time friend but we have visited with our son, daughters and grandchild the last two years. It is just the right size for our family of 6.We love sitting on the porch and watching and listening to the waves as the tides come in and out. The sunrises are amazing and this years display of northern lights was magical. We also enjoy the nearby Farnsworth Museum, Langlaise Art Preserve and Finnish Heritage House.
This is the perfect place to kick back. Cindi and Richard are great hosts. The house is clean and well stocked, beds are comfortable, screened in porch on a rocker and adirondacks on the pier with a million dollar view are the perfect places to peel away your stress. The beach is a perfect place to swim (cold water), launch kayaks or just explore. A short drive to Thomaston and Rockland for shopping and all the activities. Enjoyed the house, enjoyed the festivities and enjoyed the fresh seafood - Perfect Vacation! Thanks Cindi and Richard!!!
We loved our stay at the cottage! Cindi and Richard were great hosts and had everything we could possibly need at the cottage. We absolutely loved the front screened in porch and would spend most morning and evenings on the porch listening to the waves hitting the shore. We really liked that the location was central to so many things. We made a fire in the fire pit one night sitting on the Adirondack chairs (Richard and Cindi even provided us wood for the fire). My 6 yr. old grandson really enjoyed going to the beach area at low tide and searching for "treasure" (sea glass). We can't wait to return next year!
Hosts Richard and Cindi are warm, friendly & helpful. The cottage has a perfect quiet spot. Beach accessible for swimming and kayaking! We loved it and will book again!
The views ARE spectacular! We loved staying in this lovely cottage. Everything was very clean and the cottage was well provisioned. We could not spend enough time on the awesome screened porch. We hope to stay again!
This is out 2nd year in a row we stayed at the cottage, it's always a pleasure with the hosts being friendly and courteous. We love the cottage and especially the location, very peaceful with the sound, smell and view of the water.
Foster Beach Cottage is a little piece of Heaven. Hosts were delightful...full of great advice and suggestions to enhance our stay. Everything was perfect ❣️
This property is perfectly situated with lots to do in surrounding area. So peaceful and beautiful. Hosts were amazing. Everything you would ever need for your stay is provided. Can't wait to come back next year!
Cottage is exactly as pictured and described. Exceptionally clean. Comfortable furniture and beds. Had everything I needed to make all of our meals. Great views and access to sandy beach and rocky coastline. Glad to have discovered this rental!
Beautiful surroundings, ocean and beach In your front yard. Adorable cottage, fully stocked kitchen, bedding. So much to explore but staying put at the cottage is just as fun. It you want calm and peaceful, this is the place!
Don't know where to start, it was a great 12 days including the weather which couldn't have been nicer if it were planned that way. The cottage was very clean and comfortable, the location and views were postcard perfect. Cindi & Richard were excellent host, very hometown friendly as were all the neighbors. My wife and 11-year-old granddaughter really enjoyed their time on the cottage owners lobster boat so much so they both wanted to go out again. This is definitely a place that deserves a return trip!
Richard and Cindi are wonderful hosts! They make themselves available for any needs you might have and supply information on local area. The cottage is well appointed with all your daily needs, just bring your clothes. The screened in porch is an awesome spot to sit with a good book and watch the tide come in and out! Fire pit and dock are also great spots to relax outside. Easy beach to launch your kayak and explore the coast line!

We enjoyed our stay in the cabin so much! The solitude and the views were exceptional. Yet, we were close enough to the Thomaston/Rockdland/Rockport/Camden area to take in all of the sights. The cabin itself is cozy and has all of the amenities you need. It's nothing fancy, but it met our needs perfectly.
Our highlight was having Richard, the host, take us out on his lobster boat one day. We had a great time learning about the lobster business. In support of his business, we ate as much lobster as we could! We already booked the cabin for next year!
Thank you to Richard and Cindi for being such gracious hosts.
The house and hosts were great. We had 6 in our group 3 adults and 3 children (13, 9 and infant). The kids were out playing on the beach even during the cooler foggy days. I found my first pieces of sea glass down on the beach. The house doesn't have AC but this is a very common thing in Maine, the house was still comfortable. The location is great for a quiet place and still easy to get to the areas around for activities like in Boothbay or Camden. Three of us went out on the lobster boat with Richard and learned a lot about how the process works. Would happily recommend this stay to friends and family.
Very clean. Everything you need for an excellence stay. It was a great time on the Lobster boat. Owners were very accommodating. Even being a chilly we loved sitting on the front porch viewing the wildlife.
Great base of operations for exploring everything from Acadia Nat'l Park to Camden to Damariscotta and points north. We especially enjoyed the sunrises and watching the many species of birds. Great colors too!
