It is quite literally a room with a bed and very little space to maneuver around. The shared toilet rooms are quite laughable. A normal sized human cannot fit into these areas. I had to stand up to urinate because it's impossible to close the door if you attempt to sit. It's very nosy, which is to be expected in NYC, but it's so loud outside of the window that I felt like I was sleeping outside. The only way to slightly cancel out that noise, is to turn on the A/C window unit. I could not access the safe in the room so I can't speak to that. The mini fridge felt cool but after seeing a roach in the sink I was turned off from putting anything in there. I also did not use the shared showers. It seemed more spacious than the toilet rooms so that may be a better option to urinate if need be. I paid for 2 nights but checked out a day early. Unfortunately, since it was after their check out time, I was told that I would not be reimbursed for the remaining time. Chelsea Rooms is not somewhere I would ever return, but to each their own.

This hotel is equipped with the basics needs of most hotels. It is very compact but well-designed. With no elevator, it poses a challenge for those of us who are 70-plus who experience mild mobility issues at times. It is a great value and in a convenient location.
