The lake is beautiful and very peaceful. Limited housing on the lake makes for a quiet environment. The sandy beach made using the kayaks very easy. The host was great with communication. Great lake house option without driving to northern Michigan.

Had a very nice & short trip back for a Michigan game. The locations was very conveniently located & close to everything. The house was stocked with whatever you needed. We hosted some family one afternoon and we all enjoyed the nice lake. Had two pair of swans join us all day as well. We would book again for a longer stay to where we can enjoy the lake more. The Host was great. He was easily accessible & responded immediately.

Absolutely, UP feel and not the drive!

We so enjoyed your home and beautiful yard with acess to the lake. LOVED the kayaks! We were able to kayak to three different lakes! So clearly the location is ideal! Thank you for the fabulous stay!

Fall getaway

We stayed at Mike’s lake house for 4 days and it was great! The place was very clean and had all the kitchen equipment we needed. The house is the last one on a private road so there was an unobstructed view of the lake. Although we did not take advantage of it, there is a sizable deck and outdoor grill that would be perfect in the warmer weather. The house was a short ride to downtown Ann Arbor which was perfect! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home!

Great lakehouse for family getaway!

We flew in from out of state and were not familiar with the area so we were very happy to discover that this property was just as advertised. Our kids definitely enjoyed using the kayaks and lots of fishing from the dock. Lots of outdoor chairs available for the family to enjoy being outside. There is a note about parking must be in the drive but this is not an issue, as most of our kids drive their own cars to meet us there and we were able to fit five cars in the drive. I would definitely recommend and will stay there again the next time we are in the area.

Small Town Get Away

I grew up in S.Lyon and my parents still live in the area - came in from out of state to visit and wanted access to water to beat the heat and just have fun! This cottage fit the bill perfectly! Beautiful, quiet neighborhood - this is not a party house/lake. Truly did feel like we were farther north and far from anything, but easy access to S.Lyon for all your needs. We spent our days paddling around the canals and chain of lakes. Evenings were spent enjoying the cool breezes and beautiful scenery in the yard. Kitchen had all the basic needs (for those that are concerned, a toaster is now available). Beds were comfortable, really couldn't ask for anything more! Mike was a fantastic host- very communicative and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back next time we come to MI for a visit!

Perfect location for family visit

This is a very nice property, right on the water. We were visiting family in the area for Thanksgiving, so we did not get to use all of the amenities (outdoor spaces, kayaks). Our host was very responsive and helpful. We plan to return. Thank you!
