"“180 Degree Puget Sound View” does not disappoint! The view is absolutely jaw-dropping, and Jannelle’s place is the perfect pied-à-terre for anyone looking to escape the everyday and soak in the beauty of the Puget Sound.The apartment is beautifully appointed and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. We especially loved the hot tub and grill, which we used almost every day! The location on Fox Island feels wonderfully peaceful and secluded—like you’re in your own little world—while still being just a quick 20-minute drive from everything Gig Harbor has to offer.Jannelle is a gracious and thoughtful host—easy to communicate with and full of great recommendations that made our stay even more special. This is truly one of the loveliest places we’ve stayed. There’s something magical about waking up to that view and ending the day watching the light change over the Sound. We loved every minute and are already planning our next trip!"

"Our host helped us, taking in stride the difficulties we had with our motorcar. In the event, we simply had a loose battery cable from recent maintenance, but AAA roadside service had told us that our alternator was bad. A comedy of errors.Because we were committed to a week of Hungarian dance and music at another site in the Gig Harbor area, we didn't spend too much time on site on Fox Island. But enjoyed the deer, the sea creatures and sea birds. What a lovely place!"

"This is a very nice house, beautiful lake and Mt Rainier views. Enjoyed using the kayaks to explore the lake. Kitchen was well stocked and updated. The only negative:The house is advertised as lake front, I would say it is more lake access. There is a walking lane down to the lake. When standing on the very nice deck you look down on another house, then the lake."

"We enjoyed our stay as a family of 12 (10 adults & 2 kids) in this reasonably priced lake home, complete with use of kayaks, paddle boards, fishing poles, etc., a nice bonus! The property location is in a quiet neighborhood, and we experienced no security issues while there. It was a joy to see and hear so many families around the lake enjoying the hot summer days in the water, like us. The check-in and check-out process was very easy. Communication with the host was simple via the VRBO app and cell phone, and she was very responsive (e.g., to obtain additional linens for our large group, to address a contractor who arrived unexpectedly to take measurements in the home). She was also open to our feedback on how well the house cleaners and gardeners performed their work prior to check-in (e.g., ice maker needed deep cleaning, some light bulbs out, ivy overgrowing the outdoor shower), as she may not have been aware of some upkeep needs; she sent the gardeners to deal with the outdoor shower while we were there. A couple things to be mindful of for travelers with mobility issues (as our group): the home is on a hillside, with three-stories inside the house, and stairs down to the lake, so it may be difficult for those who cannot do stairs well; also, the seating (chairs, couches) inside the home was not the most comfortable for those with back or hip issues, yet we found the outdoor patio seating more comfortable than inside for those issues. Overall, we were pleased! Thank you!"
