Eventually with some fizzing the lights worked. Now one of the main light switches didn't work and the engineer said he would be back the next day to fix it. That never happened. By our last night there was only 1 light working. The mattress was rock solid, and not conducive for a good nights sleep and the pillows were not much better. The breakfast was limited. The pastries were dry and seemed stale. There is a fresh omelette bar. The staff are really friendly and helpful. There was no free water provided either in the restaurant or in the room, which is surprising for an all-inclusive hotel. In the bathroom there was only bar soap instead of liquid handwash. Also, on the first day there was a bad smell coming from the toilet, which made the bathroom unpleasant to use. These basic issues made the stay less comfortable than expected. I hope the hotel improves these details for future guests."
